Uh, no, I did NOT quote his post, that was my initial reaction to the location test in general.

I didn't think you did but with both posts being so close together someone was bound to get the wrong idea.
sorry should have mentioned that along with that post

Think Lemmings on the Run Expert for a good example of what I'm talking about.

To add onto Kynayo's idea, I think they should try an option where it adds shock arrows randomly to intensify the difficulty. But my addition doesn't end there. I think that option should have selectable amounts of shock arrows added by having different levels like Easy, Standard, Expert, Challenge.
Like sub difficulties within a difficulty? doesn't sound like it would be too practical

If I get what he's saying, it's probably that, but I'd still like the option to have shock arrows or not.

Maybe I should take a chart and show people what I mean...

I got what you meant but I was just adding additional things to it. Though from what I remember from X, the shock arrow charts were merely just copied from other charts (or at least it seemed like it). So if it's like that in X2, removing shock arrows would just remove its differences from the other chart it used as a reference.

They should use shock arrows as mine on ITG. (i'm not for a off switch. For me it's like "freeze off" or "jump off", it's bad...).
Infection Challenge (11) is really good.
Also, Destiny Heavy (8) has some funny mines.

And yeah, always 4 at the same time is stupid.

Oh and the director asked lots of people about the steps for second heaven to see what players think. Apperantly They might* change it if people dont like it. Guess they were trying something different and seeing if it sticks.
For me, this chart is so nice. (that's not the chart from BlueChaos that i don't like a lot).
(too bad it's on SM + the camera angle is not so nice. You don't see well freeze.)

I played it 6 month ago on ITG dedicab. I enjoyed it so much, so fun, follow well the music. Perfect Smile
If someone want the edit, just ask.

So when i hear about "double stepping" (again...) on this chart on DDRX2 i'm frustrated...

The rhythms are good but the flow is HORRIBLE like most of the X2 stuff. So many unfinished crossovers. With that note, It should be known that the step jobs have been handed off to Hudson.

Sorry if this sounds dumb posting right after jbean, but.

I'm sorry, but those steps are infinitely better than Konami's here. Seriously, there's no flow in the official ones, so many odd freaking twists, and crossovers that turn into spins...what?!

Huh...I've ghosted them a few times now and find them quite enjoyable. I don't really find much weirdness in flow besides a few points where I doublestep, which really isn't all that unusual in a Konami chart from any era.

These steps are absolutely atrocious. Just saying. It's like Ultramix 1 meets Chris Foy.

Oh man, I knew the whole thing was in trouble when all the hold arrows came in... HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS THING EVEN HARDER!? ADD HOLD ARROWS WHERE IT DOESN'T NEED IT!!

And yay, my banner was used! *honored* I can't wait to try it once it finishes downloading! ;) Thanks Pie!

Once again, Sorry. Different strokes for different folks. I enjoy my steps and that's all that really matters to me. I dont make steps for others, I make them for me and if others happen to enjoy them, sweet.

No no, it's okay. I'm just not a big fan of ITG-style charts. I went into internet douche mode for a second and that was kind of sucky, sorry. You keep doing what you're doing. You are fierce.

Imma do what Pie-kun says and get back on topic! Smile

And that's all that matters. Didn't mean to come off like an ass, but I did anyway.

So far, from X2, here's what I've noticed. The steps aren't as flow-centric as X (there's a few double steps but they seem mostly intentional, as in if you were to do the spin it would work out nicely), but they're much more liberal with 16ths.

I'm hoping Second Heaven is just a test of this. It's really pretty awkward, but the rhythms are fine. I don't mind double stepping but when 16ths get involved, I'm less enthusiastic.

Remove the whole idea of shock arrows I'd say, it's pointless.

I agree.

Better Konami remove Shock arrows and remake all the stepcharts for DDR X songs which has shock arrows.

Giving new Challenge difficulty is better than giving Shock arrows.

Im awake.

Actually I cant confirm this but theres a good chance that they wont make any more shock arrow charts. This is what I think I heard when talking with the director and disney but the translate might not of been good but the way I understood it is that they were interested in more shock arrow charts do to the lack of interest from DDR X.

I`ll add that user to my friends list and make the videos playable. I will do this later however just in case there ends up being a problem when I go play today.

I never saw the point of them in the first place. My suggestion to KONAMI, like many people here have said, is to expand on the Challenge difficulty by utilizing the Challenge difficulty for harder (but not ITG ridiculous) charts. For example, NEW Dynamite Rave can have a S-Challenge chart similar to OLD Dynamite Rave's S-Heavy chart.

So, shock arrows will be removed ?
