Konami would be extremely very stupid to cancel the Xbox 360 DDR after releasing press releases not so long ago. Though it wouldn't surprise me as this is Konami America we are talking about.
Mook: Sir, we've finished production on the latest installment of Dance Dance Revolution for the XBox 360! Copies are printed and ready to ship to all of the video game retailers!
Emperor of Konami: Good, good, things are going quite swimmingly.
Mook: Shall we release them then, sir?
Emperor: No.

Konami (insert branch here): (2006) "Look we have this cool thing called e-Amuse and you can have it in the arcades for DDR in the US!!! Also you can use your song edits from DDR SuperNOVA for the PeeEsTew in the new upcoming arcade title! It even says it in the manual!"
(2007) "Hey just sign up we have servers and everything for e-Amuse! Just give us your money and you can be in the future, now! Oh and what was that about edits on the AC mix? I don't know what you're talking about"
(2008) "Wow! Look at these fresh beats on this machine! It's DDR X and it's gonna make you combo wombo!!!! You can even make your own step charts for the game and upload them with
Yeah I think Konami is really good at releasing things that they advertise. Although, in some cases the blame can go to Benson But let's just ignore that because Benson is just amazing and loves it's fanbase.
I want e-Amuse

You've pretty much summed it up right, and I do remember when they lied about that e-Amuse across the world humbug.
KONAMI's a big boy and doesn't need defending, but I figured I'd point out that they were actually really, really trying to make it work in North America. The problem is, as Aeron explained, the infrastructure is just not there and KONAMI needed help to get it there. They've actually been looking for third parties to help them with this but so far nothing has materialized. It's a logistical nightmare, and I can appreciate that. Given all the obstacles outside of KONAMI's control on the way to eAMUSE in North America, it's a miracle they're even trying, and not at all surprising it hasn't succeeded thus far.
And after it became apparent that North America itself was going to be an incredible challenge, it would be insane for them to even continue trying to roll it out to other regions at the same time (though I imagine they're looking for opportunities in Europe).

You know, if they had more Bemani games out here and other e-Amuse compatible games in the first place it wouldn't have been so bad. I mean Silent Hill AC even uses e-Amuse and I know for sure that game would totally rock out here in the states. Just look at all the other shooters in NA like that Terminator game that came out last year. I know it's not Konami's fault for not having e-Amuse out here but they basically did themselves in by not having the games translated in the first place. Also there are ways around having the e-Amuse system setup only for DDR. With internet speeds nowadays it shouldn't be that hard to have, say, 50 e-Amuse connected DDR games in NA and have them connected to Japan's servers. Yeah there will be some lag but it's not like we're playing live with 100 other people in sync. We play FPS games with people connected all over the world right?
Then again they have a crazy huge infrastructure set up and it's not so simple.
If only it were...

The fact is that the US arcade market and Japanese/Asian arcade markets are completely different. You guys are all acting like Konami is missing out on some gold mine by not bringing e-amuse over to the states, but the truth is that it is simply not a feasible option right now for North America.

I understand that at least, but shouldn't there be a way to have a stripped down version of e-Amuse that allows records at least? I don't mean that we should have the huge multi-million(?) dollar system that's been used for roughly five years now. Most people just want that.

Any internet-based system will encoutner 99% of the same problems eAMUSE encountered. The issue isn't the way the service is administered, it's getting any kind of internet-based service up and running in North American arcades.

snipped stuff that shows he has no idea what was said or happened
snipped response stating the same thingyou guys do realize that konami said they would TRY and implement e-amuse worldwide, not WOULD, dont you? as was stated (repeatedly), it just wasnt feasible. my god, you guys are worse than the guys on MvC3 boards going nuts because CAPCOM said the game would have a "robust story" and now people are pissed there isnt a story mode that was "promised".
reading comprehension is your friend, i suggest you slow down a bit and read everything, THEN form an opinion.

People are actually pissed off about that? Hell, I'm just glad they actually bothered to give us endings this time.

If there is another Xbox 360 DDR game, it probably will have nothing to do with DDR X2.

I got a message from DDR Community on Xbox a little while ago explaining how the DDR Community website was shutting down and that the new DDR game for 360 was being released in April and it will not have Xbox Live mutiplayer in anyway. Nothing was said about DLC though. I never really used Xbox live on DDR anyway so it's not a huge deal, but at least we have a release date of some sort.

Just got game informer in the mail today. DDR for 360 is scheduled for around April 12th. Let's hope that they don't pull another "Duke Nukem" and delay it again.

You realize what they're doing now, right? "Money over matter." What they have in X2 (arcade) is a brand new issue of what EXTREME (arcade) is here. How long did it take the US to get access - between two entire different console, I might add - to that game's stellar tracklist (or even just the Konami Originals from it)?
Oh, right! 7 releases later, and we're STILL waiting on that. Only in this case, for once; we don't even have the OPTION of buying the imported version, because THAT doesn't exist either. And then, we've got jubeat. It's an alright game in it's own respect, sure. But I don't like it, and you know why? It's a sales gimmick, and pretty much nothing else. First, it "sells" the concept of having full tracklist/releases by forcing both itself AND the eAmuse system to be in place. Then, for every few songs/crossovers featured, it forces players to play it.
Don't get me wrong, the newer DDR games have a few things going good for them, like the commissioned artists, the jun/EVOLVED boss songs (at least). Even the majority of DLC packs force purchases of "mediocre"/ignorable material in the packs to have access to the better tracks. For as easy as they could've grouped difficulty/attraction ranges of songs together, what do they release?
CAN'T STOP FALLIN' IN LOVE ~super euro version~
Flow (True Style)
Star Gate Heaven
INNOCENCE OF SILENCE
Fascination MAXX
Who in their right mind is going to simultaneously jump on what's arguably the easiest K.O. song in SuperNOVA -and- the by-far hardest one, and want them both? (No complaints about the middle-ground tracks.) Plus, I *really* don't feel like repurchasing my entire PS2 library (Notice! Absolutely NO content from Wii, XBox or X360 games AT ALL), just to play on my HDTV - which is capable of streaming my PC/Stepmania with no lag at all, btw. If Konami's going to sandbag this hard, and turn their once-repsected franchises into some convoluted disaster like they have this year, I'm sorry. I can find better things to do.
It just sucks entirely, watching them blow through what could EASILY be the best product-creation phase in history; and rather than marketing THAT for what it's worth (IE: what they're selling the shovelware for), they're simply tiptoeing around it instead.

From the screenshots that were provided, it's a direct port of the PS3 DDR except it will not have PS Move nor KINECT.

So now the Xbox 360 "DanceDanceRevolution" is going to be a nerfed copy of a re-written (and nerfed) version of a localized console port of DDR X2?

No. Two years ago it looked like the 360 was going to get a faithful port a game running the X2 engine, then K O N A M I.
