There doesn't seem to be any rhythm or reason to it. Some old songs got un-capped, some didn't.

I had forgotten that Boys was also upgraded in 4thPLUS. That would explain why those are the two best charts... They're all good so far, even the ones with Shock Arrows, they're just not as interesting as established charts.

I was actually thinking that MY FIRE's chart was the 4thPLUS one. I think HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN MELLOW's is also from 4thPLUS.

I find most (if not all) shock arrow charts pretty subpar for challenge charts is because they are usually just a copy paste of another chart but with shock arrows added into them, which themselves have a very limited utility in so far as how they can be used. I think the reason why I dislike them so much is because they simply mean that a more interesting chart which could have been made for challenge is never going to be made. Maybe in X4 we can see individual shock arrows rather than always seeing them as an electric fence

In so far about the new charts, I think this is the first time I've really been blown away by anything X3. I just wished they did something like this a bit sooner, but I suppose good things happen to those who wait.

Nice to see a high speed 16th. I was wondering when Konami was going to remember that 32nd (like) notes existed.

I know it's not Konmai Konami's video, but still.

Didn't get much achieved today. I unlocked most of the 2nd mix songs on Maniac. Enjoy level 85 (slowed right down after the booster ran out).
I passed TME on a lower diff, but it didn't get unlocked. Mainly probably I was lucky enough to get it on the random wheel, lol.

No idea how to play it on quick mode (didn't see any extra options.) Still not 100% what it does imho.

Sorry if it's already been answered, but how do you get the Oni charts of the 2nd mix wheels. Quick mode exclusive I presume?

If a song had a new chart from 4thMIX PLUS or a chart from EXTREME, it reused those instead. Only Boom Boom Dollar (Red Monster Mix), MAKE IT BETTER (So-REAL MIX) and Smoke's new charts have Shock Arrows. I'm pleasantly surprised that Konami was able to restrain themselves that well.

Since these are likely the final unlocks for this mix I have to say that X3 is good, though extremely average. But the addition of 2ndMIX mode and the inclusion of (almost) all of those retro songs in the normal gameplay mode is really the only thing that made this mix memorable.

I want to see Konami continue to do this, but I really want to see them try a little harder. They left out STRICTLY BUSINESS completely, used the newer version of Hero minus Freeze Arrows, and made a number of little mistakes that just made it seem like they didn't care as much as they wanted us to think they did. X4 VS 3rdMIX could be potentially awesome, but if they nix XANADU and use the recut of CAPTAIN JACK instead of the original, it just won't feel right.

That is a brutal chart. So you guys still want to see a 20 in the next mix; because I can't see how anyone can step that fast, seems like we're kinda pushing the limits of the average human body at this point.

Haven't gone over it to check for mistakes but it's pretty much 99% accurate
(I've never made charts using SM's editor before, so there's most likely will be one or two).

So wait... does IF YOU WERE HERE and HERO now appear in *both* X2 and X3's folders? o.o'

Also, pretty sure DUB-I-DUB had a 4th Plus Double- too.

My Fire UKS Mix stepchart looks a bit messy. A lot of 16th notes that doesn't really matching with the song.
