DDR OSTs never included crossovers until DDR 4thMIX, which was the first time they did it, and then didn't again until the SuperNOVA nonstop megamix. X/FFP was the first time since 4thMIX they've actually appeared on the soundtrack proper (SuperNOVA and SuperNOVA2 just had them on the nonstop megamix). Note that things like 20, November (D.D.R. version) aren't considered crossovers since it's a new remix that appeared exclusively on DDR.

On that note, I hope they don't include crossovers on the X2 OST. There's a bunch, many people already have them, and they take up space that could be used by awesome long versions. Tongue

We might be able to hope for an Anti-Matter long version too, since Pierce the Sky was probably just the uncut version originally submitted.
nice.

The new event starts next Wednesday, which will be the earliest we'll see any new unlocks, and will last till December 29th.

MARATHON MODE will also be unlocked.

I wonder what both of those could mean.

Especially the marathon, will they really allow use to play 20 mins straight on one credit?

That's what I'm quite curious about too, it would suck for other players to wait for another player to finish their "MARATHON MODE", but it looks like they pay on a per song basis and end anytime they want.

I guess players will just have to be ethical about it. It does require PASELI points though.

I'm guessing it'll be kind of like the marathon mode in IIDX 7cs? You can drop in / drop out at any time, and the goal is to knock every song in the game off the list, in an order that suits the player.

No, it's most likely gonna be normal DDR gameplay but with a "play until you run out of PASELI credit or quit".

Looks like people out side of japan are going to get shafted again just like the exclusiveness of hidden and sudden+ only allowed on dedicabs.

"Give me a steady beat."
I'm thinking it's more akin to Pump Pro's continue option. Wanna keep your combo going? insert more credits.

Christmas came early for me this year.
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10551&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666073231

The main reason I post that is because I do believe my new camera is capable of producing line outs, however, I dont know how. Please explain where to plug into the machine.

I've never seen the backside of a DDR cabinet, but I assume you need to open it up to get access to some audio jack. (I have seen the backside of Pump It Up FX, thanks Round1 - there's a motherboard sitting in there and lots of flashing lights).

(ps: If you do figure it out, get us the X2 main menu music Big Grin easiest way would probably be to go to select music screen and sit on a group folder for the rest of the timer, since that gives you more time. (I have no idea how long the loop actually is, could be a lot shorter than 80 seconds))

The audio jack is on the outside of the MDF back-board, outside the cabinet. It takes male RCA cables.

We did the old DDRUK line-outs by plugging the RCA cables into a Minidisc player (later a laptop) and recording the same song 5 times, then replacing every bar of music that has the announcer talking over it, with the same bar from one of the other 4 recordings, where the announcer happened to be silent. They stopped us being able to do it in later mixes, by making the announcer speak at the same point, every time you played the song. :{

It should still work on the menu music, though. I think the annoucner interupts you if you take too long to make a selection, though :{

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
IF you are able to get line-outs, I'd like to request these songs:

Top Priority (as no line-outs exist at all)
☆shining☆
IF YOU WERE HERE (L.E.D.-G STYLE REMIX)
Poseidon (kors k mix)
KISS KISS KISS 秋葉工房 MIX

Funny enough, you could get all this songs by playing the greatfull remixers course.

Medium Priority (These songs have line-outs, but they are very low in quality)
Shiny World
Anti-Matter

Low Priority
GOLD RUSH -DDR AC Version-
GOLD RUSH -DDR CS Version-

"Thanks for all your support."
Add: try to miss a note in the very beginning, so that the full combo sound effect won't appear in end. (in standard mode, not challenge course)
Sillybear has already resigned from z-i-v... Sad

This is a bit off topic, but to go with audio, can people try to get steps for songs on lower difficulties (ex. Dazzlin Darlin BeginnerLightStandard, or New Decade Beginner ). The kind of stuff you can easily get access to in regular mode or course mode?Happy

"BEEJAY REVEL A"
New Decade Beginner will be impossible to get until it's unlocked. Though I'm actually surprised we haven't seen some of the BeginnerLightStandard charts on some songs as some are quite popular.

I also second Pie's line out request. The current Shiny World line out burns my earsDead

Edit to former post: I didn't actually mean New Decade in specific, BeginnerLightStandard is good to have when you share your pads with beginner players...

If you're going for that, you might as well avoid 100 combo too.
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

I think someone posted several dozen pages back that if you make an edit of a song and put no steps in it, then the announcer won't talk and you'll have a perfect line-out. Obviously, it won't work for songs that can't be edited yet.
