Can anyone report on what the software update to the DDR X in Troc has actually done to the machine in laments terms?
I'm a little clueless on how everyone finds it so simple to distinguish between software based on that number, i figure there's a date in there or something.

My best guess is that the machine will have all the songs that will be in the final version without the unlocks due to no e-AMUSEMENT here. Check the song list in the first post of this thread, any song that is in black will be on the machine.
So it's basically a final version before release.

Well all SN2 machines in America lacked e-Amuse except 2, but we still got all the songs that were unlockable. My guess X will do something similar.

Some of us use Dark contrast. So it's basically a final version before release.

...ok that makes sense (but that sucks that they had a machine in their office with e-amuse and all and i think they wouldn't allow just anyone to enter and play...only business people and interviewers and stuff) >_>Post #5274 · Posted at 2009-05-01 03:14:05am 16.5 years ago

As for unlocks on the US machines, I think they will use the unlock codes like they did in SN2.

Not entirely true. My very first time playing SN2 was in Konami's lobby arcade in their El Segundo office, just a few months before its official US release.
