Yes, we're well over the quota that initially gave. We have this event, then IR3, so at least two rounds of unlocks, at least one will likely have new material, but I expect them to keep the surprises going until the end. Smile

"BEEJAY REVEL A"
I never noticed we surpassed the amount they said they'd put in this mix. I'm glad to see that Konami is really going above and beyond for this mixSmile
I wonder how the special Chinese songs will be unlocked. I'm going to presume it will be something like how Skunkiss had it. That and as Tyma said which brings up the question, could there be more than just two songs with Chinese lyrics. It would be neat to see that actually.

May be unrelated, but I saw a link for a CD named Only One Act by Super Star Mitsuru on the page Pie just gave us... Would that mean an album or something by Super Star Mitsuru?

@Zodiak: Most likely. ONLY ONE way to find out.

@justoneuncle: You never know...it's only November and they could announce something by the end of this year.

Either way. I'm stoked.

There's several services around the net that help you buy stuff from japanese online stores, but it's really expensive and sometimes it's hard to follow.
But don't worry, most likely this release wil get picked up by the Sony label soon, so you can buy it in CDJapan or any other online shop you like. Big Grin

I'm 25/75 on whether they'll actually put any licenses on the OST, as they haven't put any licenses other than "Bust A Move" on DDR X & FFP's soundtrack. They have put no licenses on DDR SN or DDR SN2's soundtracks so I'm thinking, would be good, but unlikely.

I'm hoping the massive amount of time between the game's release and the soundtrack means they gave whoever they asked to mix the Nonstop Megamix enough time to make a good one for once.

I wonder why 3 CDs though? Maybe a dedicated long versions disc? Tongue I can dream, can't I?

that would be awesome, but my guess is the first disc will have all the KOs sans boss songs, and then disc 2 will have the boss songs, the crossovers, long versions, etc. and then disc 3 will have the nonstop megamix. this would make it similar to roughly how the iidx osts are released.

that would be cool, but when did DDR OSTs start including crossovers? i havent bought one since SN1, which only had them on the nonstop megamix disc, which was the first time a DDR OST included crossovers at all.

X had crossovers on the OST, but then again, there were only 5 crossovers on the whole game.

The old ones used to. I think they only stopped including the IIDX crossovers after DDRMAX 2, when they started taking up a hefty chunk of the songwheel.

I think it's more a case of the new songs taking up just over a CD, and Konami wanting to stretch it to 3 CDs, instead of shrinking it to 2. They can easily pad out the extra CD by including Production BGM, and the Musicfit KOs that didn't end up in the AC version?
