So I'm worried about one of my closest friends & afraid he's gonna do something stupid that he's going to regret. It started when he dated this girl a few months ago, & it was going out great. She meant everything to him & he did everything for her. Here's where the crap comes in, her parents are overprotective & control everything she does, & they know about him not being a virgin. So her parents never knew about them dating & she couldn't keep lying to her parents so she told them. Now her parents banned him from ever seeing her until they graduate high school, & they cant do anything together. They still go to the same school & all, but if they threaten to make her transfer out of the school if they did anything. I also found out that her parents said about him in a note saying, "He uses you as an emotional crutch, cant make his own decisions, dosnt love you, uses you and needs to learn to stand on his own".
My friend been depressed as hell & his statuses on MSN, Myspace, etc. is starting to scare me, & its making me think he's gonna do something stupid to himself, or even worse. I'm trying everything that I can to help him, but I feel so useless cause nothing is working & he's still depressed. He means alot to me, he's like a brother, & if anything happened to him, I wouldnt know what to do with myself. What should I do?

I'd talk some sense into her parents. That's just plain out not fair. They are jumping to conclusions too fast. It doesn't mean he's a rampaging monster. The only plan that might work to convince her parents your friend is a good guy is to get your parents and his parents and talk to her's.
Ugh, from what I am hearing, I just wish I could slap some sense into those parents of her's.

If you want to do anything, tell him he's retarded for getting so depressed over a poor high school relationship. He should have seen it coming. He's got his whole life ahead of him and if something like this is giving him second thoughts, then tell him to get professional help.
