Be as it may be two different staffers...the newest Karaoke Revolution for PS3 had hyped up DLC and released nill...the projects in the past may just reflect what is now. I remain optimistic but if the DDR franchise keeps heading in the direction Freedom is going then its going to look and step really ugly.

How bad does Freedom look?

According to what some of the members here who have gotten the App:

Gameplay is horrible, but the songlist is unbelievably good compared to what we got for DDR PS3.

I was amazed at the initial songlist the game has, but from many and i mean MANY reports of how the game works, it is beyond playable.

This. But the reason the app is as highly rated as it is (3/5) is because some stupid people have no sense of rhythm and don't know how off the game is.

Why even release this if it is that bad? I'm sure they would have known or done some field testing and fixed all of the bugs.

I hope for the return of EDIT MODE and DOUBLE MODE, especially the last one, it's a part of DDR. But according to his post, if we get a similar version (with or without DLC we already know included ?) we can't expect something new, except Kinect instead of PS Move.

I'm understating the issue here, but... If he wants our support, Konami wants to release a game worth supporting for both new and old fans of the series alike.

DDR for the PS3 was "good" if you forget what it was suppose to be. Then it was just a big whywouldyoudosuchathing.jpg. To think that a potentially faithful port of X2 arcade became... that.

The bright side is that the last pre-release version for the Xbox 360 we saw WAS going to be something very close to that. The dark side is that those screens and test footage is over a year old now. Here's hoping.

The test footage became Dancemasters.

I think we'll either see a direct PS3 port, or the same songs running in the Dancemasters graphics engine. I can't imagine we'll get any new features.

You do know they've released Xbox 360 screenshots right? It's a direct port without PS Move.

They always do that in Europe.

The Xbox 360 version has not been announced for Europe. It's only coming out in North America at the moment.

The PS3 version is coming to Europe on Friday 18th March.

Is that Naoki from the DDR songs? Wow, he's ugly. I'm not too impressed by the trailers. It seems you have to adopt a certain pose (and what seems to be 2D reading from the kinect) at a certain time to complete a step. I wonder if swinging anything other than your arm in the way the game asks you to will achieve the same results. Great way to start, though. I'd like to know when we'll get a system with 3D mapping that can know exactly what you doing behind the 'camera' (2 or 4 kinects perhaps? XD too much to ask for today's advancements, I guess. Not impossible with today's technology, though). 4-Player mode, woot!

Aside from that.

I hope people pick good songs that otherwise wouldn't already be in or be a candidate for DDR MAX - X2 (US) Greatest Hits. I saw a lot of people put things like that on the this post for what was presumed to be for the I ♥ DDR folder. I think we should wait until all of the past DDR song folders have been released and then ask for other songs from them that we'd like to see. Other than that we should ask for things the US hasn't seen yet.
