now think about the next DDR sequel....

Maybe they will suprise us with a cs release...wouldn't that be nice? I tell you I leave for a month and look at all I miss!
I'm pretty sure it just means that this is not the end of DDR. We'll probably see another DDR "game" in the future, and by "game" I mean UI change.

I agree. I'm sure the arcade scene will live on probably just through updates. It would be nice to have another mobile game or something though.

What's with all the negativity about a Cs release though? I know it's never gonna happen but it would be nice

It's just dead, they announced it dead, and the community made it die. (Humans in general) people just lose interest.

We were exactly like this in 2011, they out of nowhere released a really good one...and nobody outside the fanbase bought it.

Still, you've got to admit, DDR II/hottest party 5 was the ideal swan song, right?

Honestly, you could skip ALL the licenses it had and enjoyed the fuck out of X2/X3 KO's, game was LEAGUES better than it's predecessor.

And by predecessor, I mean whatever hole that filthy piece of crap DDR 2010 came out of.

man i can't believe the whole game isn't made to your liking wow its like you're almost only thinking about yourself

as much as i hate these artists that make it onto these games people have to realize not everyone is a fan of the cute kawaii desu shit or electronic music like we are; target audience isn't this group of people, it's aiming for what makes more money, which is obviously the people that like western music

Considering that you can block out songs you don't like, not buying a game with 80+ songs (I believe it's 113 with the long versions?) just because of two of them makes you a collosal twat.

It's 120 songs with full versions. And I agree.

Well the major the problem with the licenses on DDR II is that they were grossly under-stepped. The only one I enjoyed was Spice up Your Life. I had to create Challenge to make Can't be Tamed enjoyable. I wish it an edit mode in game Cry.

120? Doesn't it have around twice the number of songs of DDR X2 PS2 (picking a low game with a songcount on purpose)?

you could dislike half of the song list and still have more songs than an entire CS game, in a way

Imo, the only argument against DDR II is (maybe) the Wii's record of having iffy CS releases making a Wii-exclusive game rather odd to invest in when everyone owned Playstation/ Xbox 360 setups. Release issues aside and pertaining to the game itself... I'm inclined to believe anyone saying DDR II was a bad game is, well... wrong. You could've put Blurred Lines and Gangnam Style on there and it would've still been the best CS version... as long as you didn't swap them for RDA songs. Tongue

This all despite the fact that none of my favorite characters are selectable. xP ...X2 Rage doesn't count as Rage.

DDR 2 had this.

My eyes freak out every time I watch the combo bounce down. It tricks me into thinking the whole screen is jumping, since that's about where I read the arrows.
