Simfile Category Requests

Bemanistyle doesn't seem to be quite the same as it once was, so I'd be interested in getting a category so that I can branch out a bit and upload my stepfiles here too. I'd like it to be called "Xythar presents: Music with Arrows" if that's possible, thanks!

Simfile of the Week

I would use it in conjunction with a new thread to post some of the best simfiles I've collected over the last decade, it will obviously be used for other people's work most likely without any permission or credit given other than I will be clear that it isn't my work that is presented. This will give people a chance to play some of the greatest simfiles in my opinion. I may even allow access to others to post their favorites some weeks.

If any of this seems controversial, then don't bother creating the category, however if it sounds like a good idea then I'll begin a thread and upload a file for this week.

You obviously didn't read what you quoted. 1. I don't pay attention to who made what. 2. The creator may be impossible to reach. 3. I've posted TONS of simfiles without giving credit, see The Jungle Book simfiles, DDR Mario Mix, Dance Praise, other DDR official games, etc where I copied the steps straight from the games. I didn't step any of those charts myself other than a few edits here and there.

The point isn't to take credit for others work, but just to display quality simfiles, like a best of the best category of simfiles but many of them will be impossible to find since they are not available anywhere, and haven't been available for years.

No, not a simfile review thread.

A thread where we discuss the Simfile of the Week which will be chosen by me (or someone else) and uploaded into a Simfile Category. This will be other people's work, and a simfile that I really enjoy.

For instance, I may choose "The DDR History" or since it's almost halloween, "Lollipop Candy BAD girl (Trick or Treat!)" from a SpookyMix pack, or "Spooky" which was created by Udderdude. In MANY instance I've added a music video to the file, because I'm a big fan of having music videos in the background, out of 7000 simfiles 30% of them have music videos. So rather than trying to explain who made what, I would propose to just upload the simfile for the sake of enjoyment, oh and all synching is done by me since I've synched every single simfile in my library because I'm kinda insane and I am VERY picky about any simfile going into my library having precise synching.

Thus there is a fair bit of quality control on my end, and I would think hosting a Best Of simfiles could be fun.
