Yeah, No More Love has topped Ødyssey as my favorite DDR contest song, so far. Didn't think it would be possible, but I shouldn't be surprised. EmoCosine never misses.

New Top 5:
1. 1116
2. No More Love
3. Ødyssey
4. Funky Flux Fusion
5. The 88's Instigation

Apologies if I'm missing it somewhere, but are there guides for how to "participate" in various Japanese eAmuse functions if you're a US player? In this case I'm interested in the Premium Customizer items (Alice, Baby Lon, etc.) but don't know where to start. Thanks in advance!

Do you have a KONAMI ID linking to the e-amusement pass that you are currently using?

This has to be a record for most notes in a 16, right?

There's a new 19 in the pack.

And what a 19 it is! https://i.somethingawful.com/u/garbageday/2014/avatars/channingpop.gif

Nagomu Tamaki of all artists being involved in a DDR 19 is something I would never have expected given how most of his other BEMANI music is.

Steps for Victory CSP video

I have mixed feelings on this one, leaning more towards negative. While the chart is well written without any glaring errors, 24ths at 210 isn't something stock DDR pads can handle. Plus, there are better ways to make a chart difficult than adding impossibly fast patterns.

Yeah, the more I look at this chart, the less I like it. Especially that ending slowdown, which is impossible to parse if you have a speed mod meant to read at 420 BPM and that does not exist on lower difficulties. I didn't even notice it had jumps on it until my second watch.

Good luck for players that usually 'cheating' or getting high scoring using dynamic sudden. Those bursts on really low BPM (I assume about 50 bpm-ish) are undoable and unreadable at all

I suppose that this chart should be harder than Breaking the Future Challenge, considering:
1. Higher BPM base (only 10 bpm slower than Endymion)
2. 24th (or 12th ?) notes are pretty more frequent + 16th notes on high BPM
3. Really random stops and BPM change influx (some of them kinda remind me to Ace for Aces or Over the Period), which is something that BtF doesn't even had

All these years and they still haven’t realized that being forced into reading dense arrow vomit at low BPM is not an enjoyable experience.

But really, can you blame them? They put bag in the game a long time ago--65 BPM, broken timing and all. and IIDX seems to be trending in this direction with a few of their songs having DDR-like BPM changes

"suffering from success"
the problem with that concept is that bag is a consistent BPM. low BPM note clutter is less of a problem when you can bump up the speed mod without having to worry about also affecting a 420bpm change cemented somewhere along the path.

Steps for Victory is very much in the same gimmicks class as Hou and Breaking the Future, and the charting quality is somewhere in the middle of them. BtF is ranked lowest of the three for me due to having the most uncomfortable patterns and the quantization error of charting 24th notes to 20th beats due to engine limitations, adding artificial difficulty for a chart that would have been a 19 anyways. I would have also preferred SfV not having that extreme slowdown at the end, but there's nothing to do at this point but treat it like Chaos or Pluto and memorize the gimmicks.

I still think Volaquas is the best 19 Konami has made, with Lachryma and Hou (sync notwithstanding) close behind. Max 360 might be more straightforward and fair but is also just kind of a note dump. Paranoia Revolution, Egoism 440, and Valkyrie dimension have all aged like milk for various reasons and are leagues worse than the charts released later.

BPM range of 52.5-420 and having stupidly dense streams in the lowest BPM section so there is literally no way to actually be able to read it in big 2025

That's my fucking GOAT hell yeah brother welcome back Aces for Aces

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

I do! I play in the US so I'm assuming it's somehow registered in that region. Hopefully that doesn't cause an issue. I've currently changed some of the customization with what's free on the main page, but hopefully I can get Alice, etc.
