Holy Orders would be a 19 though.
BUMP: Maybe a 20, I mean, it is a 5 minute song... and also, it isn't just a little less harder, it's quite a bit, because of the length, and because 888 doesn't go to 24th and 32nd notes...

Well yeah, but even if you edited Holy Orders down to 2 minutes I think it's still harder.
I think Konami sort of shot themselves in the foot with the 20-scale by making already released songs go up to 18. Doesn't leave a whole lot of room.
That's what edits are for silly!

It's also why you can rate a song on SM a 99 if you want.
Or rate somebody 573 if you want. XD

I dont think you can really compare a konami made song to a keyboard chart, and iirc, a bad and un-original keyboard chart.
I like 888, but its not complicated, just fast. bar in hand, I could probably do fairly well on it. No bar, I can only manage a C. Also, its one of those songs an un-expierience player could easily flail through.

888 Heavy is especially awesome, imo. It feels like a perfect 9 to 10 transition because of how draining it is.

I would have thought a song like 888 would have a nice Expert chart. After all, even the hardest songs have a good Expert chart... most of the time.

It is, because it's a lot of 222BPM 8th streams. It's a perfect stamina builder in my opinion.
If I could record my 360 with good quality, I'd do it. =/

Its so nice to have a made for DDR slake song.
Also, 888 goes from easy 9 to crazy hard 10 in its transition from heavy to oni. Theres no way that someone who was just able to pass the heavy is going to be able to pass the oni anytime soon.

I wouldn't call it an "easy" 9. It's quite draining.

I have a question about Less Is More. I don't know if this was already answered or not, but is "lim's Sculpture" another alias of SLAKE? I only ask this because this song and HYPER BOUNDARY GATE -SLOW FLOW MIX- from Denjin K sound VERY similar. Does anyone know?

I've heard on another site that lim's sculpture is indeed Slake.

DDR Universe 3 scares me again.
The world's first Official "Licensed" 10 footer song has appeared.
And I'll be damned if it doesn't make a little sense.

Konami reps probably saw it on Pump, and were like,"ZOMG, let's steal that shit!!" The way the charts are set up are somewhat similar.

Well to get a 10 footer out of a licensed song, you'd have to theoretically use all possible beat anyway so it's not too surprising that they're somewhat similar.

I have to admit that it's an okay song with a very good oni chart, so hopefully there will be more licensed 10 footers (or 15+) in the future. And the whole "stealing it from Pump" thing was just a joke

"Nature: Naughty" |
Finally got my hands on this game. My thoughts on it... (as copied from DDR Online Community)
By the way, I've started posting videos of the songs.
Channel.
Yeah, I know that other guy's been doing it for a while now, but from what I've seen, his framerate is atrocious.
Quote
Good
- Pretty good initial songlist. Most of the unlocks that I've gotten so far are nice, too.
- Better character customization in Quest Mode. Extra points for bringing back Lady's Police uniform as an available outfit for female edit characters.
- Despite having a similar layout to Ultramix 4's Quest Mode, this one is significantly less frustrating.
- Music videos. Granted, they were made long before Universe 3 came out, but whatever. Gosha did a great job on Less Than Three and the videos for Conga and Canned Heat get me fired up.
- Roxy's quite the cutie.
- I've found myself terribly addicted to Don't Don't Go Away and Return of the Machines.
Bad
- Challenge Mode. If someone tells me it's not in there, they can eat me. After looking at some of the Challenges in Quest Mode, I've seen that it's made another return, this time being assimilated into Quest Mode.
- The "Yo dawg, fo' shizzle" dialogue in Quest Mode, especially from Valencia. I used to think she was cute until I read the verbal diarrhea she spews from her mouth.
- BG videos. Yes, while I like them, they irk me because they STILL lower the framerate. One of the biggest complaints of the last two games continues to go unchecked.
- No Jukebox Mode. I know, I don't imagine it was a terribly popular feature in the previous games, but I did occasionally enjoy just making a playlist then doing some work on my computer or around my room.
- I have to address the BG videos again, because this part is unforgivable. In the previous Universe games, when the framerate drop was too much, you could just turn off the BG videos in the Options menu and your character would dance against a still backdrop and the framerate wouldn't suffer. This time it's replaced by an ANIMATION consisting of character silhouettes. "Turning off" the BG movies in Options menu now means you're essentially trading in one framerate-killer for another. Unforgivable, Konami. This is the STUPIDEST move I've seen you guys pull with DDR. Yes, worse than X's Shock Arrows, because at least those could be avoided by simply not playing Oni charts. Meanwhile, there's physically NO WAY to escape from skippy arrows ANYWHERE on Universe 3.

I just looked at Conga Challenge.
In most charts, all of that sideways running, double stepping and spinning sucks... but for that song, it makes so much sense. I love it.
If you haven't seen it yet:
It would be nice if you made a better video of Conga Challenge, Zukin-Man.
