Or Bag, or Chaos, or a whole bunch of other songs! |
But they were both in SN1/2 CS. Why waste a song slot in reviving it when you can play them on another CS?

Technically, any piece of music without lyrics isn't a song. Just throwing my $5.73 in there.

Doesn't that song have vocal samples?
But in a way, you're right. Songs without lyrics never make it big.

Adagio for Strings? Sandstorm? Chariots of Fire? Lots of stuff from Joe Satriani?
Anyway, I don't count sampled vocals as lyrics if they're just random interjections, not a fully structured lyric.

No, I didn't mean put those in. I meant you kinda need 24th and 32nd notes in edit mode to actually make a half decent on beat edit of it. I mean, chaos with the stops, and bag is all 24th.

Question: if the X release will be a US catch-up release in (possibly large) part, then what will be on the DDRX release in Japan? Or will there be no DDRX in Japan? Has there been any news of a version for Japan? I have the Japanese SN2 (after having had the US version), so I'd be a lot more interested in what might appear on any Japanese DDRX. Has there been any word of it?
What I think they should do is release a DDR SN2 Append release for the US that does the catching up, and then have DDRX be a new starting point, one much more worthy of an X release.

Their version will have all the licenses that the US has had in previous mixes.
Or something to that extent

Just because you don't like a certain song doesn't mean that everyone else is going to hate it.

A song that fits would have to - ahem, reflect the song. >_< |

If they are going to do repeded songs, have a low number of them. At less in EX2, there was a remix of the song in the game as well. Example, BRILLIANT 2U = BRILLIANT 2U (K.O.G. G3 MIX), Look To The Sky (True Color Mix) = Look To The Sky (Trance Mix), and so on.

Uh...
If it's anything like STR!KE, here's what they'll get:
-A few licenses plucked from the US version, including the broadjam winners. Other licenses will probably be made up of J-Pop covers and random licenses.
-Any and all New-to-PS2 DDR Bemani Crossovers and Konami Originals that appear on the US version.
-A slew of UM/Universe/And perhaps even HP songs.
-A handful of new KOs or crossovers that didn't appear on the US version.

...and that'll be 70 songs for JP. There has been too many predictions of the songlist for DDR X. We already know that the songs from SN2 AC will be included. All that's left to guess are the songs that won't make it, until they come out with a songlist at E3.

I'll just wait for the next arcade DDR project... I wonder if DDRX will be the title or other...
I also hope DDRX will not be the last DDR for the PS2.

To be honest, I was shocked they did a SN2. The PS3 has been out for a year and a half now. Sooner or later, DDR and other games will not be made for the PS2.

I think they should continue with the PS2, because the only real upgrade from PS2 to PS3 was the graphics, and since the PS3 has something like 8 cores, it would be a huge, unneccesary extra amount of coding to do.
Plus, the PS2 already allows DDR to reach its maximum graphical potential anyway, unless you consider the PS3 supporting high-poly, high-res dancing characters; but who cares about that?
But hey, Konami, for all we know, might cozy up to Sony, look at the PS3, and say, MAKE IT MAKE MONEY!

"Who says that!!" |
You know what guys, Konami of America has been screwing us when it come sto the Music List in DDR Console Versions. I on my part want to have the upcoming DDR release for the PS2 to have more than 70 songs. To be exact, I want to have at least 120 musics included in the list. Somehow, I just watched a video on YouTube that DDR EXTREME JP PS2 Version contains I think more than 110 musics to choose. Why not expand it more so that the other players who usually play in the arcades like me include the other musics that are missing in the CS Versions. Such as in the case of HOLD ON ME, I'm gonna get you, stoic (EXTREME version), etc. Too bad guys. I really like also playing DDR on my PS2.

Extreme JP had a lot of repeats, though. 70 is about a good number for mostly new songs. Anything more would just be wasted on making a game larger (and more compressed) than it needs to be.

And the number of PS3's in homes is but a fraction of the PS2's. Face it, DDR does not need to go next gen, so I hope KONAMI continues to release games to capture the largest audience, which is currently on PS2. I would rather not see a move to PS3 anytime soon.
