I thought they were. I don't really know I don't have an iPhone. I'm just basing that off what I've heard on this site.

S+ just updates whenever they feel like it. Which is still fairly often.

If the ps3 version handled DLC anything like S+ alot of people would have a reason to come back and play the game. S+ is giving us content that we haven't seen on americian shores yet, mainly X2 songs and a few liscences. I wouldn't mark this week down as a DLC free week yet. If it is however, I have a feeling I'll be blowing up that facebook page of theirs...

I would think that we would have to wait about a couple more months before we see anything new again. I wish I could find a way to implement my own songs but the save data is uncopyable.

Yeah it's kind of depressing when Def Jam Rapstar has over 60+ additional songs while a game that has nothing but repeated songs as downloadable content, you know. . .

They really should have just done S+ for the PS3. It has new X2 DLC this week!

It seems this game lacks a professional infrastructure. Whether they deliberately are holding this back or are unprepared they need to change some things if they want to be taken seriously by fans. I mean Dance Dance Revolution is the one that kicked off music gaming in America and now look where it is. They need to port X2 AC if they know what's good for them, but apparently they don't.

You know, android...you may be onto something about implementing your own songs...with the PS3 hacked anything may be possible. At this point with how this game turned out I would rather have a awesome version of Stepmania running on the PS3. I am so glad I rented this game. I can see this being cheap like Beatmania US here in a couple of months or not too much longer.

Though my PS3 isn't hacked I hope a way is found to turn DDR PS3 into SM and I doubt it's price will take long to drop.

By the way, this game has moved around 40k units in the first 10 weeks.
In the same period of time, HP4 (since that's what it is, stupid KONAMI) moved 140k.
Ho hum.

Probably a good reason for the snail speed of DLC delivery.

1. There is no mention of DOUBLES PLAY.
I just saw this now. All I have to say is this: Good bye Konami. Now I know I'm never going back. Or maybe it's an admission that they don't have anyone that plays doubles.Post #5175 · Posted at 2011-02-04 01:14:31pm 14.3 years ago

Don't forget that the Wii is a much more popular system.

Maybe Konami realized that they didn't earn so much money from doubles play, so they decided it would be worth it to release it before the holidays and earn a much larger profit than release it later with doubles play if not so many people would play it.
Had they put doubles play in and released it after the holidays, they wouldn't make as much of a profit because the "holiday surge" would be over already.
And I doubt they forgot about it. Doubles play has existed in almost every version since the beginning of DDR itself.

Doubles play has existed in almost every version since the beginning of DDR itself.
The last four console DDR games released worldwide have no Doubles play (Hottest Party 3, Music Fit, DDR Wii, DDR PS3).
And with the PlayStation series on hold in Japan and Europe I can understand why people (like me) are worried that the advanced mode of play could be shucked aside to make development easier. As long as the arcade machines maintain the obligatory side by side stage design I won't panic.
Also waiting for Quad Mode to return.

I think they cut it on the basis of it being incredibly difficult to actually play doubles mode on their ridiculous softpads, and not many people playing it as a result.
I mean I tried earlier, I kept almost falling over as one of my pads kept slipping and bunching up.
Considering the pad options for the xbox 360 and the ps3, I would be surprised if it had been included, to be honest. (oh and let's not forget the fact that they're now trying to angle it as more of a party game than ever now, and doubles looks a little too much like showing off to some people)
