Haha, with or without the bar, Nephilim Delta isn't anywhere near as hard as the other 15s e.g. MAX 300 and PARANOiA SURVIVOR, now, is it? Surely a simple comparison of charts of speeds and patterns can show this?

Anyway, I think it's rated 15 because it can only be played with a "battery" life meter in place.

Yeah, the first time I saw Nephilim Delta I figured it was over-rated I mean, all it has going for it is stream & Crossovers, that's it not that hard to follow IMO

I'd say Nephilim Delta is a 15. At first glance it looks overrated, but if you've ever actually tried it, there's extremely few places to rest and catch your breath in the entire song, making it deceptively tiring with all the movement you have to do. I'd rank it harder than all six RDA 14s (3 on , 3 on ), Valkyrie dimension, Second Heaven, Fire Fire, Zeta, and Unbelievable, which I've all tried.

I don't want to start an argument, but here's my take on the bar vs no bar thing related to Nephilim Delta: Using the bar makes it much easier to doublestep the whole song, greatly reducing the movement and making it much less tiring. This way, I can definitely see how it would be a 14. The situation is amplified here because of how Nephilim Delta consists of tons and tons of crossovers at just the right speed such that doublestepping is very hard without the bar, but very easy with the bar. (Compare to the doublestep speed seen in HVAM (slower) and Vanessa (faster).)

It's a 14.

It shows no place in the 15s.

This happens when you don't ban users that reach -100 points and above.

We can sit here all day and talk about how hard a song is no bar, but the whole argument goes out the window when I say VDO is a 72 (thats not a typo) without the bar. The ranking system is made taking into consideration how the song plays on the default settings without the bar, because when you see promotional videos, read the instructions, read the warning that comes in the manuals for the machines saying not to lean on the bar for your own safety, there IS a right way to play DDR.

The machine doesn't give a damn how you hit notes, but songs aren't rated based on how you hit notes, but how Konami wants you to hit them. The difficulty is rated based on x1 no bar doing cross overs. The simple truth is that different people are good at different things, and we will never agree on all the ratings because of that. For people who try and cross over, thats why HVAM was argued as "should be a 10" back in the Extreme days. For those of us who just double step, HVAM was pretty easy. For people who play x1, bag was hard. For people who can read x5, bag was easy. The MODIFIERS you put on a chart don't change the charts default difficulty.

So why is there a huge discussion over what a song should be ranked based on using the bar and not using it? Because thats not how Konami ranks, and its why the ranking system will always be flawed as there is no way there is only a 4 rating difference between Max300 heavy and VDO the way Konami ranks the songs.
