Oh yeah, I think I remember that being mentioned somewhere pages back. Remembering that, I now feel slightly more confident in this release.

For those wondering about the "black one" RINON talks about, it could also be translated as "dark one". Here is what RINON says about the dark one in one of the RINON Question Corners:
"The dark one...they look just like me.
It's a long story, but I have to stop the dark one. That is my purpose"
It's pretty clear to me that the "dark one" is the RINON we see during Valkyrie Dimension. But there's still a question about who her "master" is and what exactly the story is with the other RINONs we see in the REPLICANT-D-ACTION songs. Interestingly, during the video for Valkyrie Dimension, we see armies of different colored RINONs marching in time. Perhaps the "master" got a little too carried away making these robots and had to build RINON to destroy them all....THROUGH DANCING.
In any event, it's already beating the hell out of the Street Master Mode's storyline

Since I have no local X2 machine and the best I have is a SN2 machine locally, could someone tell me what Rinon is, and what the deal with him is

@Silver Spirit: I believe so. Beston only distributed it where Raw Thrills actually designed the cabinet.
I'm worried about the step drift. It wasn't addressed in the press release. Nor was the screen lag. The screen lag should be fixed. No problem could be easier to fix.
Something tells me the drift is gonna be present in the final build
I just know it (of course if I'm wrong I'm completely cool with that)

Maybe when the arcade goes out in December, we will see a ~20101130 build, highly succeptible to updates via USB, like PIU Fiesta do.

Let me guess what was the wishlist for non-JP cabinets...
1. USB Profiles
2. New Panels (solved)
3. Fix the Lag / Drift
-
i dunno about e-Amusement capabilities for US and EU cabinets... 1st of all, because KDE has not showed all info about e-amuse service.

I really think you guys are stessing over the sync too much. At the Beta location test in Asia there were sync drifts and plenty of timing issues but they got ironed out in the final release. And, when it was released there were still a few timing bugs. (btw, almost all AC mixes are like this). If America really has e-amuse and there are timing problems, Konami will work them out in an update. So I think we should stop stressing about something we don't even know about yet.

The problem with that idea is that they issues DIDNT get sorted out in the final release, they got sorted out AFTER the final release which is pretty unprofessional. Also, lol at e-amuse in America

Except we don't.
Which is why we should be stressing out over anything that is wrong, since American arcade ops aren't to be trusted with ordering or installing patch CD's.

I think e-Amuse is active here, just no arcades use it anymore (BZN did, but apparently they disconnected it. Talk to Kon about it).

USB Profiles would be so great. When you can see what they do for japanese with e-amusement, that's just awesome.1. USB Profiles

A good profile, saving scores, unlocking stuff ect... sure some people will play more.

what's the point if zero public machines have used it in years (have there ever been more than 2 officially e-Amuse-connected machines in the US?)

Now, having USB personal profiles and unlocking content through USB is ANOTHER thing that should be highly mentioned and talked about with Konami. If they can't drop their prices for e-amuse or can't find a good solution for it, then let us AT LEAST have personal USB profiles so we can unlock stuff through the internet with monthly updates and junk...

I do hope they try and add a USB profile system for unlocks and personal scores. It would save them money in the sense that they won't have to run an e-amuse server for North America.
It would be neat if you could have a rival like system where you compete against the machine record holder score for each chart you play.

This would be good. Just like the ghost mode on Maximum Tune 3DX?

I found the pad on X decent.
The key problem with the US/EU X stage (aside from the feel and lack of spring, but that's not necessarily a problem, more a difference) was that it wasn't very sensitive until modded, and after modding needs more maintenance than most arcades are willing to provide to keep them in good condition.
The stage that the test loke DDR X2 cabinet has in Troc has is much better IMO - I just hope it doesn't deteriorate quickly over time and heavy use.
I agree with you about the screen lag; it's what has stopped me playing much DDR X (consequences of the cabs having cheap-and-laggy LCD monitors).

Where did they move the upstairs SN to?
Think this needs reposting before its lost on the last page, have they kept the old SN , the only SN thats actually loud and has at least one working side in london (that i know of) and is patched?
The old SuperNOVA appears to be no longer in Troc, as far as I could see. Might be worthwhile looking around the local Play 2 Wins and LV to see if it has been relocated there, but odds are it's probably sitting in a basement somewhere with all the other old cabs :{

I think if you spent a year in either North America or Europe with DDR X, you will feel exactly how we feel. DDR X got released in June 2009, and has had a total of two updates since, the updates did not address the screen lag at all.
Only in DDR X2 did the screen lag get fixed, although it did introduce the timing drift bug. It is quite severe, some high BPM (170+) songs would be at least an 8th off by the end of it.
With the screen lag not getting fixed at all in DDR X release, it's really hard for us to have faith in Konami getting the timing drift fixed for the DDR X2 release. Although if Konami can prove me wrong, then all is fine, it just makes me sad that they release stuff and never get issues fixed.
I know if this happened in Japan or Asia, the players wouldn't put up for it and Konami will promptly fix it.

I guess it is because Asians markets have a bigger market and advantage for Konami than the Western.
Hence it is understand that Konami would pay more attention to the Asian markets than Westerns.
I would say it is a business practice. Most businesses are often like that unfortunately...
Seems like Asian people would generally spend more money on the gaming products, as well as arcade games... Arcades here in Hong Kong generally filled with people during holidays and after work hours...

The thing is:
1. KDE Should offer e-Amuse service, prior to USB-Profiles. If the store cannot buy the service, USB Profiles could be activated via Operator Menu (I think this is enabled by default, but will be override if the cabinet are connected to e-amuse)
2. It would be good if KDE open e-amuse servers outside Japan and North America. I have the address for the e-AMUSE servers (eamuse-konami.fun) and says "Your client cannot enter this page"
3. If USB Profiles are used, we can use rival scores, just saving and uploading the data into a website, that website will give you the DDR CODE.
