Hopefully we'll also see them move away from random Utah-based English vocalists and start using more vocalists like Brenda Vaughn and Carol Gadsden.
Not to mention getting rid of terrible commission artists like DKC Crew and Big Idea.

I think all these were mainstays of the CS team and, if the AC team is given full control, I doubt we'll see them again. Well, except as the CS transplants we've yet to have on AC (like Win The Game), but I hope that we're seeing the silly two-team system get phased out and have one team in charge of direction of DDR (the AC team of course, we don't want to kill DDR now).

Oh come on, Big Idea isn't that bad of a group, especially when you consider Konami's requests for the songs that are commissioned.
Big Idea has had a few nice songs, but in terms of consistently making good songs, Konami has better options on the table for commissions.

INTERNET RANKING update:
After the first day, we have no AA's on EVOLVED, though BROSONI. and RIN-GO! are 2nd and 3rd respectively for now.
Two players, P.MIZHA4 (I believe he had the first known pass on Valkyrie dimension
) and RIN-GO! have AA's Revolution, though.
Seems like the single 18 of PARANOiA Revolution doesn't make up for the rest of that course being easier than all the songs in EVOLVED.
Though I wonder how many people have passed each course? The IR site doesn't mark clear or fail, just pure score. One would think there would be less passes on Revolution just because of the lifebar.

Jewelya of De'Nile = most amazing Big Idea song and legitimately good song. Shame it's got sort of a generic chart.

I definitely think that a lot of the CS commission artists were brought on board to provide a more 'mainstream' sound to the American CS games (Note, for example, the difference in sound direction after HP2, with most of the hh.com artists removed in favor of artists like DKC Crew and Big Idea). Heck, look at the differences between CS and AC songs from X2 and X3. They sound like they don't even belong together at times.
Hopefully with no CS DDR game planned for this year, we'll begin to see a more consistent (and hopefully better overall) songlist for DDR. We're already beginning to hear changes from U1 and jun with their new songs in X3.

Big Idea is awesome and I'm glad they stuck around, same goes for Alien Six.
I hope there's a DDR III waiting in the wings. All they have to do is follow last year's model, with the AC step artist team perhaps.

I've been away (not caring) for a while. Anything new happening with this in western regions, or should I go back to being sick of ITG?

U1 has already confirmed that there is nothing planned for this year, so if there is a DDR III in the works, it's quite far off.

Hm, my guess from that is there will be no more CS DDR until the next gen of consoles then.

TBH, when DDR tried to jump to the PS3 I think thats when things really went down hill to the point that the series migrated to the Wii. The Universe series has sadly also been discontinued too (although whats up with Universe 4 in DM Ashura's page?). I doubt waiting for the next system coming out will be the determining factor in whether we get a new DDR, because the series really only needs the power of a ps2 to function well. Perhaps without CS versions competing with the arcades, maybe we will see the next AC release in America.

DDR had been on the Wii for some time at that point. DanceDanceRevolution on the PS3 was HOTTEST PARTY 4 on the Wii. The issue wasn't the platform leap, it was outsourcing development. Konami took the series from the PlayStation to the PlayStation 2 just fine.
America and Europe getting the same DDR arcade releases that Japan gets is a pretty recent thing if you recall. It didn't happen until SuperNOVA. Before that, we relied on imports. If there's no domestic release of X3 then you can probably look forward to that kind of arcade experience again.
I predict the next import pop will be with the last mix Konami allows on the legacy cabinets... causing all Japanese arcades to offload them.

Well what ever Konami has cooking for CS release, though it won't be any time soon, I'm all for having 2nd Mix Mode in it. At least we would be able to play a few songs that weren't released in the US. I also hope we get T M evolution and Paranoia revolution as well.

New finding! I guess nobody realise this too.
Amalgamation chart
(& probably
too) , 1 of the offbeat red arrow (starting & ending have that beat) has been fixed. It's now yellow arrow

I never knew that part was off, hah, I'm glad they actually fix that stuff now. They used to just let it slide.
IR update: on single Difficult, no one has AA'd EVOLVED yet, but RIN-GO! has full combo'd Revolution and is the only person to have done so at this point (and is also the first confirmed pass on the course). On double Difficult, only one person has achieved an A on EVOLVED, and two have gotten an A on Revolution (2nd place being TAKASKE-). As always, no idea if those are passes, they could just be late fails.

I have the videos with me, but i will reach home kinda late to upload the videos.Maybe you can try on stepmania with assist tick on first? The offbeat are pretty obvious

My friends & I were discussing about the offbeat arrows since the release of X3.

at least screen cap image would suffice, just pause your media player and print screen it.
