@Gameoson No. Don't feel bad. Your comments were pretty helpful (not just for me, but for the others). You know what you're doing here. I wouldn't have even thought of looking at Quickman's chart if you didn't point it out.

Everyone's comments can help others get better. Whether or not to take those comments are up to the stepper themselves, but they're still pretty useful. Mine are probably honestly less helpful than Gameoson's though haha.

If the criticism is even remotely constructive, don't take it personally. Just take what is said and decide on if you want to apply the comment into the way you produce your files from now on. Nobody is making these comments to be assholes, we all want to see each other improve. I think the bulk of us realize this, but for those who might feel otherwise, I don't think you should take it as such. ^^;

Enigma Machine - Nice ITG 10+ here. Very reminiscent of Bouff & Hand Of Time from ITG1. I noticed you left blank >> you could definitely fill this with a nice 12- for future reference. ;-)

Chance It - Great ITG/FA chart. Perfect intro to 24ths at this speed, for those who are unfamiliar with their concept (particularly since DDR does not cover these kinds of 24ths the way ITG does).

Ocean Avenue - Very clever making be the more DDR-like straightforward chart, while leaned towards ITG with mines, rolls, and footswitches (marked with mines), almost gave me some Heel & Toe (ITG3) vibes.

VERDICT: All three files here were really good, so unfortunately I cannot vote here. Too close to call.

Dream Position - Loved the use of the stop/speedup gimmick here. Nice 9+ here. Probably could've had this on , whilst putting an 8 on with just 8ths (16ths), probably for the sake of filling in the difficulty gap between the 6 & the 9.

Դե էլ Մի - Ahh, I love a good slow swingy song every now & then, and did the job just right. Good 7+ on having a bit of 's swingy 24ths, and a bit of it's death run 16th stream at the end. Very good difficulty progression used here. Nice job with the speedup too.

VERDICT: ddrstepper wins this one, mainly for better difficulty distribution.

PARANOiA CLiMAX - I am a sucker for good PARANOiA remixes, and relieved that this wasn't just one of those old Audacity mashups/edits from the FFR/StepMix era of 6-8 years ago *shudders*. Anyways, definitely love how reminded me of how the charts of old PARANOiA series charts were back in the day (minus the doublesteps of course).

Violent - Nice use of crossovers, mines, and BPM gimmicks, it really showed in (which really should be an 11, if your intention was to use the ITG scale), gave me some StepMix 4/5 vibes. *sighs* Now I know everyone wants to talk about so let's do so. It took me some investigating to understand why was the way it is and, well...some deep philosophical work is at play here. The point that was being made was..."What is the point of stepping lower difficulties if 'no one' is going to play them?" Definitely a very subtle way to rebel against "the crown."

VERDICT: As much as I liked the straightforward PARANOiA CLiMAX, let's face it...there's a bunch of PARANOiA remixes out there, a sign of conformity. Violent on the other hand...Quickman, you dank sneaky rebel, you...for that reason, I am giving Violent the vote here.

FIRE FIREは電気スウィングの夢を見るか？ - Very jazzy & swingy song. & are both 9's, but are on opposite ends of the 9 spectrum here, being a 9- (probably may have gotten away with 8++), and being a 9+ (pretty close to 10-- actually).

蟲の棲む処 - Pretty nice for a 9+, good use of the half-BPM/normal-BPM switching too. Pretty tough for a 9, with 16ths @ 162. Once again, this could've went to , and an easier variant could've went to .

VERDICT: Oni-91 wins this one, for better difficulty distribution.

Crepuscular Rays - Heh, loved the crossovers at the end of .. wasn't as tough on the 8th streams, as they appeared to have traded them away for 16ths, jumps, and losing the break from . *glares at difficulty gap between & * Liked this one overall, though the upper two difficulties could've housed the 8 & 9, while something (like a 5 or 6) could've housed .

Le Petit Prince - Mmm, more slow swingy stuff. And wow...I absolutely loved the BPM stutters, speedups, and just the detail in the BPM/stop gimmicks is amazing. & were both very well constructed as well. Song was slightly short though...

Gale Rider - Woo! Great fast-paced song here, and the charts reflect that. Speaking of which, perfect difficulty distribution here (3/5/7/9/10). & were well-constructed, and accurately rated accordingly. And my inner ITG player *squee*'d at , great use of 16ths as triplets, not going overboard with them at this speed.

VERDICT: Very very close fight here, and the current vote totals for this bracket shows it. Giving the vote to hypnoticmarten77 though, for using all five difficulties & best difficulty distribution. (Mokou, you could've had this vote, if the song was slightly longer, and had all five difficulties used)

Arabian Rave Night - Looking at the end run, could've probably gotten away with an 8- rating. was a really nice challenge (literally), but be careful with the stepcount & rating. With this much 16th stream @ 180, and the stepcount, this is definitely an 11. Be careful next time.

MANA - Not a single 16th was found in ...not a 10, definitely a 9 at this speed. BPM changes & gimmicks were good though. Nothing too exciting though (it was probably because of the song choice).

VERDICT: And this bracket's vote goes to tsugaru7reveng, for better difficulty distribution (and using all five difficulties), and better song choice.

Energia! - 9 times out of 10, an ITG-scale 12 wouldn't fare out too well in this kind of tournament. You beat the odds with the great, BPM gimmicky 12 in . Nice implementation of 255 during the choruses, and I absolutely loved the use of the 24th bursts in the 170 sections. Keep it up, Spork!

空想メソロギヰ - 8th crossover runs, a 16th drill...seems a bit SPEEDCORE-esque to me, not bad. Could've gone to as a 10 though.

Element Of SPADA - was pretty close to 10 territory. One more 16th run in the earlier half, this could've been a 10, actually.

VERDICT: Spork! wins by a landslide here.

ロンロンへ ライライライ！- Great work on as an 8+ (pretty close to a 9- with all of these 16ths at this speed). I'm pretty sure the 16th bursts at Measure 8 were NOT a mistake (for anyone thinking otherwise), and are actually meant to be crossovers. Also, pleasantly surprised at how you decided to turn those 16th bursts into candle-crossovers on . Definitely did not expect that -- probably should be a 10- though. People at the 9 level are probably going to be too tempted to doublestep them...

Clap Snap - Depending on the song being chosen, the charts being stepped on the highest difficulties may or may not have to be easy or difficult. A slow-paced, easy-sounding song like this only really demanded a 7 at most anyway, so acknowledging that by making as such is definitely a perfect fit. A nice intro to 16th notes for the semi-casuals too.

VERDICT: Very tough to choose here, but in the end, Astroman129 wins the vote this time, for accurately rated charts on the highest difficulties. The last thing anyone wants to do at an arcade is to sightread something rated improperly, and end up failing, or performing poorly because the chart was more difficult than the rating assigned to it.

You Carved Your Name - Nice, fast-paced song & here. Kudos for refraining from tough patterns (ie; crossovers, doublesteps) which a lot of DDR charts around this difficulty & speed tend to implement. Fair difficulty distribution throughout the four difficulties used. Nice touch with the slowdown at the end too.

みんなのうた - Nice touch with the mines showing the patterns that followed, picked up on that pretty quickly. But, with a song this slow, this short, and with not even 300 steps, this ought to be a 7. Please be careful how you rate your charts in the future.

VERDICT: Spirit Of Nightmare wins, primarily for better song choice & chart rating accuracy.

Danse de Romani - Nice use of all five difficulties. Definitely liked & . You could actually construct a nice ITG 10 from this song (making use of more 16ths, and even some 32nd bursts where necessary). but the mid-9 you decided on in was just as good.

GASPANIK - Nicely done 8+ on . Fair difficulty distribution from to . And at 2:14 long, this is definitely on of the longest songs this round (a plus in my book). Only one problem...left-facing bias from a third of the way into the song onwards.

VERDICT: Gameson wins this round, for better-patterned charts.

Sakura Luminance - Pretty good 8+ going on here in . The song could've probably allowed for the opportunity for a slightly tougher 9 on .

The Queen - Loved the way you did here, definitely a nice ITG chart. Not entirely sure with the 10 rating though, but probably better to overrate it, rather than underrate it. If perhaps it were longer... [and insert rant about not using through instead]

一触即発☆禅ガール - Nice pick for your song for this round. Fast-paced, lending itself as an opportunity for some good ITG-styled charts. Great work on the abundant crossovers on . Very reminiscent of the pre-SN1 190-200 BPM "catas" from back in the day (but with correctly constructed crossovers, not silly doublesteps). Enjoyed very much, and good call not going overboard with how you patterned the 16ths, keeping them to two arrows at a time, which at this speed is best to keep the chart from going into 12 territory, remaining at the 11 rating you intended.

罪と罰 - was well constructed, nice patterning, went to the song well. But, I know a wasted opportunity for a chart when I notice one. Not too thrilled about that. Oh well...

Luvly, Merry-Go-Round - Ahh, nice to see you duked it out with a fast-paced song of your own, I see. And, great job using through here too. Patterning on & here. Oshama Scramble! - About time a nice, fast-paced boss song showed up. is definitely a 10, but only because of the 100+ jumps in it. is definitely more of an 11 though...regardless, brilliant work here overall.

Sweet Devil (colate remix) - Pretty nice BPM stutter gimmicks going on here. Not much else stood out to me here, unfortunately...

VERDICT: Densetsu.EXE wins for the better implemented jump gimmick.

コスモス - Heh, the digits of the BPM & the song length are exactly the same 1-4-8. Interesting...nice use of spins at the beginning & throughout . At only 148 BPM, it's not so fast that people cannot doublestep them, and a nice amount of crossovers are here too. Double check your ratings though, this was probably more of an 8-.

Shadows Of Our Past - Nice use of crossovers on ;hea:. The positioning of some of the 8th note runs coming out of up-down jumps were resulting in doublestepping. Be careful with those in the future.

TwinBee's Home Town Song - The song got me hyped up, but then I cried inside after I saw how & were constructed, patterned, and misrated. This really had a lot of potential, it did...
