The Second Florida Thread

Okay, so I'm new to State threads as I do happen to be in Florida! So what happens here? Do we just discuss Dance Games in FL? If so, count me in on the discussion. I usually play at either Aloma Bowl or Boardwalk Bowl (Pump is awesome).

Pretty much, a majority of the most active players play in Orlando, I'm in Tampa with a few others, and there are is a small amount of members from the Fort Myers/Miami-Dade area.

You guys should definitely come to DDR Storm which, thankfully, now has an official date!

May 22nd - 24th in Daytona Beach, FL.

Thanks Max. I usually only play in locations close to my area since gas isn't cheap, I don't even have a car yet and my parents are at the least willing for me to drive. I should go to storm this year with a good friend also into rhythm games. I want to still try to do an event more local to Orlando or something. I had this idea of asking the Arcade staff at Aloma Bowl to reserve their PIU NX machine for event mode for a tourney.

Well there is going to be a DDR 2014 tournament happening March 1st in Orlando (location is Chewy Boba Full Sail). I'm going to be there to help around with both the DDR Tournament AND the jubeat plus tournament I am running. Plus, there are going to be a lot more rhythm games on open play (and a MvC2 arcade cab set to free play). Event starts at 10am and goes through 10pm so if you can make it, we'll see you there ;)

Awesome. Gonna check out Chewy Boba fairly soon. Do you need to be a Full Sail student to gain access to the Chewy Boba grounds?

Chewy Boba "Fullsail" isn't actually on the Full Sail campus. In fact, it's in the same shopping center as the Geek Easy.

And what other rhythm games are going to be there? (Please say DDRMAX Arcade)

Visited Whirlydome and another machine not listed here which I can't list because adding arcade location glitch happened. Anyone want to help me add it? It's a Pump It Up Exceed 2 (I can confirm with pictures) at McDonald's on Kirkman road close to Universal Orlando resort. I'll PM you the actual address if needed.

I recall that machine on DDR Freak. If memory serves me right, it was old and busted for the longest time.

Machine played well when I tried Dignity. The sensors must have been improved or something. I only played on the left due to absurd 4 tokens/1 credit system.

Should I tell you about the other McDonald's on the other side of I-4 that has a DDR Extreme machine that is 75 cents for ONE SONG?!

That's just pitiful. Whirlydome, McDonald's (Kirkman), Aloma Bowl and Chewy Boba Fullsail are epic win! But... McDonald's Exceed2 machine is just painful to look at.

Wait what? I thought the McDonald's with the playplace with Exceed 2 was on Kirkman road... I even checked the address I knew on Google Maps. I still have proof its there. You might be referring to the McDonald's with PRO and not Exceed 2. It's close to Vineland Road, right by a Mobil. It's a great machine! Just wish it wasn't Exceed 2.
