Make a list of changes needed and I'll fix it.

The Following Songs Aren't In 2nd Mix
El Ritmo Tropical
Love
Tubthumping
20, November
Keep On Movin
Let Them Move
Make A Jam
Paranoia KCET
Think Ya Better D
Trip Machine Luv Mix

The Following Songs Are Missing From The Database Entry
Trip Machine
SP-Trip Machine (Jungle Mix)
Paranoia Max [Dirty Remix] (In Roulette)
Step Battle #1 : Keep On Movin'
Step Battle #2 : Let Them Move
Step Battle #3 : 20, Noevmber

The first 3 missing songs use the step ratings they have in the simfile database. The 'Step Battle' songs only have one "chart", and are all rated as 9-footers in the game itself. You might just want to put the difficulty as "?" or "NA", since they aren't exactly playable charts. On Konami's 2nd Mix website, the artist names is listed as "STEP BATTLE", and the difficulties are listed as "?"

Regarding 2ndMIX, these song lists are correct:
http://ddr.sh/info/basic/20.html
http://ddr.sh/info/basic/25.html

Note that, as previously mentioned, KEEP ON MOVIN', LET THEM MOVE, and 20, november -DDR VERSION- are STEP BATTLE only on both original and LINK VERSION incarnations of 2ndMIX.

No not yet, tends to be nothing between location test and release.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Some arcades have announced their intention to get it and it looks like Konami is still peddling a March release date to them.

I like how the new logo is more neon and less pastel.

Not gonna feel guilty since this is stickied:

Some guy on youtube claimed there has been confirmation that this will be the last Arcade release with the only updates coming through via patches. Sounds true to me?

If so, what if someone bought this machine and connected it to the internet in America/Europe? Would the machine receive these updates?

No, the machine must be registered with e-AMUSE in order to receive updates.

An unregistered machine will not have online functionality at all.

I take it that this is impossible without some approval or talk with Konami? Or would they simply refuse service? (Which would mean some hacked form of the game is the only possible way to use the machine outside of Japan?)

Yeah it has to be approved and enabled by Konami on their end so the only other option would be a hacked form.

I doubt patches will be the way they go. Seeing how saucer is all online it would make no sense not to do that for DDR. Now if the game comes out in the US and EU then I could see the new songs being in chunks a la patches. However for Japan, I'm 99% sure it will be online.

DanceDanceRevolution will be appearing at the Japan expo next month. The current description of the title doesn't give any new info, but they will be showing it at the expo as well as holding a live event for the game. The likelihood that new songs will be on the machine is high considering it hasn't been location tested since last fall.

Japan expo starts on Feb. 15th.

EDIT: By the way, looks like they're getting rid of the light stands on the new cabinets and it looks like they've added some extra space just above the speakers to hold items.

J-Mi & Midi-D confirms on their facebook that there will be their new track with "old school DDR artist" in next DDR game.

Also, they released a new happy hardcore track called "HARDCORE (is my life)"

They didn't confirm it would be in DDR, they just said they'd be working with an old school DDR artist.

Oops, my bad. Just too excited to read it right Tongue
But I'm sure remember reading that they promise to give more tracks to DDR.

Seems like they're unifying the colour scheme of BEMANI cabinets: white cabinets with pastel colours. At least, looks similar to GITADORA and DanceEvolution. Tongue The LED towers weren't irritating, but didn't add much either, so I won't miss them. I like the coloured bars, though the whole look is a little too pink and purple with the logo and speakers. But hey, whatever. Excited to hear more about it next month!
