However, therein lies its fault and why I didn't give you a higher score: this is a very high-energy piece, and isn't necessarily a place to play by the rules.
I don't exactly get what you mean here. Do you mean the 222bpm section should have been harder, or?

WANT YOU GONE: hooky. 6/10
In theory, it seemed like a good idea. I could see Want You Gone (I thought the song was called "I Want You Gone", but I could be wrong) as a simfile more than Still Alive, but in order for it to work, it needs to be executed very, very well. Unfortunately, though the steps themselves weren't bad by a long shot, the song had much, much more potential than you used. Plus, the stops, while they made sense in a musical sense, didn't when it came to step-making. I couldn't anticipate when it ended, which caused in much unnecessary stumbling. But still, you did a pretty good job... if only you took it to the next level.

What exactly do you mean by that? Are the steps too easy, not varied enough, etc.?

My simfile for Own Little World has been updated due to a offset error. Please get the new one if you can. Sorry

I don't mean that it should be harder, per se. While adding difficulty is a way to add to energy, like I described, in this context, energy is the way the steps are manifested; essentially, how the steps match the song. Your file is genuinely good; I think that people tend to skip over that part. I liked it overall. It was well-done. You did what you could with the Expert chart, making it a well-done chart, but...well, it's pretty difficult to describe. All I can say is that doing a song with "Hardcore" in the name isn't the place to make a well-done chart, but, rather, to try to make the people playing it fail (i.e. the Max and Paranoia series, and especially 888). Unlike a lot of the other charts done this week, a Challenge chart could actually have made this song better.Quote: hooky

Anything but, actually xD A lot of simfiles can actually be made better by making them easier. This was one of them. It's a 100 BPM song with a very simplistic melody; anybody would think that some 16ths need to be added in order to make it lively enough to be a good file, right? Counterexample: Remember Pandy's submission last week, Diamond Dust? It got pretty good reviews; while it didn't necessarily win, it was praised for being, quote, "what a beginning Heavy player would love to play", endquote (that was DM Ashura, credit where credit is due :U ). Though it was simple, he gave it an A. What I'm saying there is that maybe the song didn't necessarily need to be an 8. I could see it as a better file if you stripped down on the 16ths and made it an easy 7. A good reference point for the simpleness that I'm talking about is the refrain: I had fun playing the refrain, not because it was rife with 16ths, but because it was well-done. If you imposed that onto the rest of the song, it would be better, IMO; remember, less is more.Sorry if I'm not clear; if anyone has any other questions, just tell me. I'm happy to help.

I'm SO sad. This simfile was glorious--it was difficult enough to give it a "bite", but hard without being retarded (also props to Tyma and LordToon for the cut and graphics o3o )--except for the fact that it was so offsync that 80% of my results were GREAT... and I'm on the most lenient score setting. It's a given that I later synced and archived it, but I'm judging them as-is. A runthrough in Edit Mode with Auto Adjust on could've bumped this up to at least a 7. :c
Try the file again if you can. I changed the offset after asking a couple people. I think my game is just different then others. Hopefully its alittle better and I apologize for the off sync of the file

I didnt change the stepchart. All I did was raise the offset a pinch and that was it :s
And I recall people were give late entries last week. All I did was...raise my offset a tad.

You do realize even Auto-Adjust will give different offsets on different machines right? :/

I would, but, I judge them as-is. Your file was really, really good, it's just a housekeeping thing that irked me. No one really wants to take the time to play through a file in Edit Mode with Auto Adjust. And don't worry about it; I'm sure that you'll do just as well next week.
@DM Ashura: No I did not :I Though it's still better to say, "Look, I sent it through Auto Adjust and I did all I could to secure offset; if it doesn't on yours, that's your problem" or something to that extent. (The offset I got for Own Little World that works is -2.702, with Auto Adjust, BTW.)
Now you're making me paranoid; I synced all of my files with Auto Adjust, now I don't know if I'm being hypocritical if I tell people that their files are a bit offsync xD

I am very, very biased against Naruto. But this song reminded me of a Touhou theme remix, which is a good thing. I like Touhou. So yeah. The music didn't hint at the song being a 9, but rather, an 8. (I don't know what I'm talking about, disregard me. :U ) But anyway, the 16th clusters were a big wake-up call xD In any event, I think that this file was fairly good. Even if it was submitted after the deadline and, at the beginning, seemed a tad bit offsync, it was a relatively good file. :3

Wow, someone liked my file!

thanks for that review

By the way: why 9? The Expert chart is a 10

But whatever yeah Hard is a 9^^ I just listened the song and the Expert chart is always my first/real impression of the chart...
I have big troubles with making easy charts cause it feels like there are steps missing then...
Edit: Oh, and when I started uploading the file I was in time...then I had a black screen that said server load...
And when server was back an I uploaded it for a 2nd time I was like... 3 minutes late...
It`s really not my fault

I use Beginner/Basic/Difficult/Expert/Challenge like in DDR SuperNOVA on for the names of the difficulties, not Novice/Easy/Medium/Hard/Expert like in ITG. So my Expert = your Hard.

Oh... I`m so used to ITG difficulties... I play DDR like only once a month and use the DDR names of the difficulties only when I`m talking about DDR.
But somehow I`m still calling the ITG novice difficulty beginner.... maybe cause I never played ITG on beginner and still have what I leared on DDR in my head? Sometimes it happenes that I call the Easy difficulty Basic.... mmh... I started ITG on Medium/Hard...so... idk.
I play all custom songs on oITG so I`m using ITG difficulty names.
sounds reasonable?

FFFFFFF. I should have just left my simfile alone then. When i played it with the new offset it seemed abit off to me actually but I figured it was my own game since others said it was also abit off. Give or take this weeks theme im sticking with what it is. I just hope Own Little World is good to others.
Now I know better :B
