EDIT: Today, the remixes (IF YOU HERE HERE, Poseidon, KISS KISS KISS, and Dazzlin' Darlin) have been made playable to everyone.

Gonna have to try the IF YOU WERE HERE remix the next time I'm in S'pore.

That means a better chance of line-outs, right? 'cause I've managed to play the three un-SMed remixes recently and I'm hooked on Poseidon Kors K remix (yet still haven't heard it perfectly; australian arcades always set the DDR too damn loud or quiet, never in between)

He mentioned something about the secret on getting specific version of roppongiEVOLVED in ENCORE EXTRA STAGE.

For example, he mention if you play in this order:


After that, if you choose roppongiEVOLVED, chances of getting Ver.○ will be 45%、Ver.□ will be 24%

Another example,


After that, if you choose roppongiEVOLVED, chances of getting Ver.○ is 21%、Ver.△ will be 45%

Something like that... not sure if it is all correct or if I understand correctly.

That's basically what it says.

No one has figured out the exact criteria required to get the different versions of roppongi yet.

In other word, Roppongi evolved totally surprised.

Just have fun with any version.

I think those shapes have something to do with their corresponding starting letters so I think:
Box = B?!
Circle = C?
Delta = D?

I know how not to get Version D. Apparently I have never yet unlocked Version D and I'm willing to bet I've played encore roughly 20-30 times. I'm either the luckiest or unluckiest person depending how you think of it. I have been dying to see D come up and I never get it. I do believe there must be something more than just randoming one cause the chances of missing Version D 20-30 times when each version has an equal probability of coming up is really rare. There must be something more...

I'm a bit disapointed with Kiss Kiss Kiss. Too many spins/double steps. Also, they could have follow the rythm near the beginning (seems very para para-ish imo btw).
Poseidon has some interesting and easy gimmicks.

I can't check back the statistics he posted (it was a few threads before already), but the hit rate is about 50%

IIRC there was some rumor about the roppongi Evolved version relating to the total step difficulties of all the previous non-Extra stages.
Such as if you played a 10, a 12, and a 15 for 1st, 2nd, and Final Stage, the total would be 37, which would relate somehow to the roppongi Evolved version.

Thing is, no where in the blog post does it state any sort of difficulty levels. All it states are the stages and the song names so difficulty is possibly irrelevant...

I'm not talking about that blog post, I'm talking about a rumor back when X2 was first released.

Yeah, I've heard something about that... Then again, what I heard was about the X2 US CS release. IIRC, you take the difficulty of the two previous stages and divide the sum of their difficulties by three. The remainder determines which roppongi version you play. No remainder = version A, remainder 1 = version B, and remainder 2 = version C.
I.E.)
"Yellow" Candy = 13
Decade = 11
Total = 24, divided by three = no remainder, Ver. A

Poseidon remix = 14
Decade = 11
Total = 25, divided by three = remainder one, Ver. B

Fire Fire = 14
Blind Justice = 12
Total = 26, divided by three = remainder two, Ver. C

Now that there's a version D, this is probably thrown out the window. Maybe dividing all four previous stages by four and taking the remainder would work? Don't know if it'll, but it's just speculation. :\
