Konami has said nothing about the DLC being delayed in any of their responses. They have only said things like "details will be forth coming" or "The exact date is unknown". We are obviously still getting our well deserved DLC. There are so many logical reasons why we would be getting it this Tuesday. Let's hope for the best!
Exor post as soon as you know anything tommorow okay? I won't be home at all but i'll have a way to get on the internet.

If Konami is saying the date is unknown now then it sounds like something went wrong on their end. DDR DLC; TBA, LOL.

I would agree with you Aeron but the did also tell some people to keep on checking the music store since it won't show an error when it's got music in it ( such a dumbass response i know... kinda common sense). This makes me believe that they have sent the DLC to Sony and they are just waiting on Sony to release it. Yet again... what do i know LOL

KONAMI doesn't need defending on this point; even if Sony is the bottleneck, KONAMI still fucked up by not being able to give a timely, concrete response or even public acknowledgement of the problem. Their conduct is ridiculous, they are doing nothing to address the issue, leaving owners of the game confused and wondering if they just spent their money on a 50-song DDR game for PS3.
Even if it was entirely beyond KONAMI's control, you know what is not outside their control? Posting something on the site saying "we are working with Sony to address the issue and apologize for the inconvenience" and probably throw in something about "valued fans" or what not.

I think that's what worries people the most... when something happens Konami expresses an extremely non-committing attitude about it.
"What? What's a 'Dee Dee Are'? Oh, that. Yeah... Don't worry about that, we're looking into it and such."
They don't do this kind of thing to Yu-Gi-Oh or Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill, do they?

If they did this to either MGS or Yugioh, people would rip down the walls of Konami's coporate buildings. Both are the pride of this company. I'm fairly sure people would have gotten an apology if it was those series.

Hideo Kojima himself is very open to his fans. If anything goes wrong, he apologizes. He was extremely disappointed in himself when MGS4 was delayed.
Konami needs to take a page out of his book.

I just got back from a cruise hoping by the time I get back that the DLC would be available only to find this mess. This game pretty much will remain dead to me unless the DLC finally comes out. I've spent over $70 on DDR S+ material and that game has a way better song list than this joke.

All 4 things are completely different projects, by different people., They just fall under the same corportate banner.
Konami TYO and Kokima Productions are obviously careful about what they say, and don't announce a game's release until the game is probably done, and the manufacturing and marketting is in place. When something like MGS is coming out, it seems the developers talk to the companies that will be publishing it in each region, and everyone works together for a few months to make sure the marketting and distribution is all uniform across the globe.
I used to work on Yugioh, and I've never spoken to a single person who worked on MGS, or Silent Hill. I spoke to James from KoE once or twice about DDR, but that was only in a "I love this game. I think the guys did a good job with it" capacity. Only one guy who worked with us ever had anything to do with a Konami product other than Yugioh, and that was the PES community manager, who was working with us as a second job, for a side income.. That's how seperated it actually is.
For the record, the new Yugioh game was finished something like 10 months ago, announced for an early 2010 release, and then put on a shelf for most of 2010, until someone felt it was the right time to send it for publishing approval. After approval, I think it finally came out in October, and had the release date announced something like 2 weeks before it's release.
I lot of the Yugioh games are developed in English, or have English language options in Japan, but still take months to send to America, to be publised, marketted and re-approved by the American division. A few of the Japanese guys obviously work with them, but it's not like the same people work on it worldwide. One company gets it out the door, washes it's hands with it, and hands it off to the American or European publishers.
Certain subsidiaries of Konami are careful about not announcing any date unless the game is already finished, and sitting on a shelf, ready for publishing, so that it can be hyped up, and promoted properly, and then can't possibly miss it's ship date, because it's already in the can.
KDE are obviously not that careful. It's a few specific people being terrible at their jobs, not necessarily the developers or Konami's general marketting department. If you can get in touch with the people responsible for the DDR game, then they might have an answer. I can't imagine how the community managers or the general publicity office would be able to get one, though. If I'd have called up Hideo Kojima and demanded to know why MGS DLC content was late, I imagine he'd tell me to get lost?

Though all the games are developed separately, wouldn't Konami have a PR office that oversees all of it's projects?
Also, did I read that right? You used to work for Konami?

I believe so...but only for the Yu-Gi-Oh department, but hell Yu-Gi-Oh IS by Konami so...yeah. Doesn't surprise me though, but it's nice to see a much better explanation into this whole debacle rather than the usual "BAAAHHH KONMAI IS TO BLAAEEEME LETS BURN DOWN THEIR HOUSE AND SNATCH THEIR PEOPLE UP >:V"
Even though i did (some of the times) .___.
Kudos Tyma, and let's just hope whoever is in charge with the DLC gets either a slap on the wrist or a LOOOOOONG talk about meeting deadlines.

I second this. I admit that I do have hopes for wednesday but at the same time I'm prepared for disappointment. It's called Little Big Planet 2! Seriously though I won't be surprised if it doesn't show up.

OFF-TOPIC: I played the demo for LittleBigPlanet 2. It's not bad, just that the floaty controls are still there, just like the first game.
ON-TOPIC: So far no DLC on the PlayStation Store as of 10:30am EST.

That's a weird time to update, especially considering Xbox Live has their updates by about 12 noon EST.

It's kind of hard to explain, but they won't know specific things about specific projects. They'll only talk to you about specific issues about each project, because they're dealing with your questions and on behalf of each product team.
If it's a very specific question that isn't about either you buying a game, or something being faulty, then I imagine they aren't going to be able to deal with it. In this case, all they know is "The DLC isn't out yet. We still plan to release it, so keep your eyes peeled for an announcement".
