I'm gonna have a proper sesh there on Tuesday so I'll be able to make a better assessment of the game timing, pads and a side-by-side comparison with EM2 sync-wise on mutual songs. So far it seems to play exactly like the Southend build but with more songs to choose from.

Wow, very interesting that so much stuff is unlocked on that location test. All of the default list+enjoy level unlocks (Including oni charts) and KIMONO PRINCESS+FIRE FIRE.

Maybe they will have X2 US/EU out with some unlocks so we are not 9 months off the JP version.

I just hope Konami will release unlock codes for locked Asian Machines if ever the US/EU versions of this game will be released with unlocks.

You don't have to worry too much for that. The unlock codes for AC they're usually global

Derek, the EX SCORE is useable only on the HD version of X2

Mekurumeku Dance Party ends on the 6th of October, but I'm not sure if anything special will happen.
I think IR2 starts on the 13th but I can't remember.
Definitely soon though, been a while since we've had any news, and with the Dance Party event ending, they'll need something to keep interest.
