Still too early to say weather they are gone or not.You never know Konami might surprise us and come up with some sort of character mix of new and old.
But to be honest it would be great if old characters like Emi Yuni Rage Akira ect returned.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if both arcade and console had the same character roster, with ALL of the characters.

In all the Hottest Party DDR games, they DO stop dancing at the end of a song. D:


It's just extremely possible by now. D8; I'm hoping against hope that a new trailer or new update for DDR II will show us that indeed, the HP characters are here too. Man we need updates pronto...!

Just checked at my local Gamestop, the game will come on November 16, 2011.

Supposedly.... gamestop isn't the best at release dates

But their apparel & clothing are atrocious.

There are like... some really cool ones. There's the really wtf charas (not like there aren't any on the PS2/AC), the confusing artist ones, the ones that are clones of PS2 characters(which is like... Domi and uh...who?), and then the cool ones left over.

Dancers can dance as long as they want after a song as long as they keep looking gorgeous.
That, and most character fans really don't care, as long as they're there and on-sync during the song... at the same time, everyone else would rather see quality gameplay than character upgrades, so... kinda see why it was low priority on the PS2. xP

Back on-topic: Poo to Konami for not bringing that game to Comic Con, YET, it wouldn't actually matter because if they did bring DDRII to Comic Con it would just be the same demo from E3, with maybe SOME new changes here and there...but it would still have nothing much new to the game that we already know about :/

Would be nice though...to try it out...

Says you. D8 I loved a majority of them. And at least most of their outfits are plausible to dance in, unlike a biker suit or a maid outfit, or even a party dress...jun is like the only one in the HP cast who stands out.

Not sure if it means anything, but Gamestop just changed the release date from November 15th to October 1st.

It's hard to imagine given U1's recent comments on the development that they would actually release it a month and a half early though.

EDIT: Huh, just noticed the Amazon page for it is up and shows a release date of October 11th. Hmm.

Remember the release dates of DDR Volume 1? Yeah I wouldn't exactly believe them to be factual.

Did anyone notice this in the announcement Konami made?

"Also, by the collaboration with the historically famous artists, there will be completely new original tracks, that can only be listened to, or enjoyed within this game!"

Is that basically just a fancy way of saying "Konami Originals", or do they actually mean that an exclusive song from, say, Duran Duran is not out of the realm of possibility?

NAOKI recently announced on his Facebook that he is working on a collab song with a an artist who was "famous in the US and UK", so that's probably what that's referring to.
