fucking Club Mix
FWIW you can't play the IIDX club songs on the arcade Club without its respective IIDX mix connected (1st Style/Substream <-> Club 1/2) - only the 2nd Mix songs have their audio data on the CD.

LOVE THIS FEELIN' was originally from the PlayStation DDR 2ndReMIX.
4thMIX had a number of other songs with intentional speed changes like era (nostalmix) and WILD RUSH.

Electro Tuned (The SubS Mix) has a strange tempo change at the beginning to avoid blue arrow syndrome. Why they didn't just start the song off with blue arrows and avoid the weird tempo shift, I'll never understand.

Same goes for ECSTASY (Slows during the middle for a measure or two). But those are more to fix inconsistent BPMs and less to make the arrows change speed to keep the players on their toes.
On that note... STILL IN MY HEART (MOMO MIX) is the only Challenge-only song from 7thMIX with a speed change.

Speaking of the Oni-only songs from MAX2, did anyone else notice that many of them seem to be stepped specifically to make them hard to pass in an oni course?
AM-3P (AM EAST MIX) has those strange (64ths?) notes near the middle of the chart.
DROP OUT (FNSM) is pretty much the same stepchart as the original, but fit to 130BPM, making it much harder to read on forced 1x.
ECSTASY (Midnight Blue Mix) speaks for itself.
HIGHER (Next Morning Mix)'s last five or so steps are offbeat.
Silent Hill (3rd Christmas Mix) has a freeze arrow section that requires the player to do some pretty complex turns.
SUPER STAR (FNSM) has many 16ths that are very hard to time.

@ both of you up there
YES, definitely. MATSURI JAPAN (FNSM), ECSTASY (midnight blue mix) and AM-3P (AM EAST MIX) has screwed me up big time in TRICK. Made worse with mods.

Not sure if any of these have been mentioned earlier: (CBA to go back 24 pages)
On EM2, Blondie Girl is harder on Beginner than on Standard. (2/1/4/7)
Also, Hysteria 2001 and B4U (B4 Za Beat Mix) both have full sets of charts. In every other arcade DDR game, these two songs are Challenge-only.
Sakura was originally going to be Extreme's OMES.
Fusion uses the same motherboard as Pop'n 9.
The Monster is Coming is the first song with a 10-foot chart (not Max 300) - although it's about as hard as Afronova or Paranoia (Dirty Mix).
Mickey Mouse March (Summertime Version) has only left and right arrows on Basic.

^ That was in DDRMAX2. CSFIL(SM), IIRC, had a Dancemania Speed 6 CDTitle.
So what was it labeled as in EXTREME?
It uses the DDR 5th Mix CDTitle in DDR Extreme.

Arcade isn't the only DDR, and those aren't the only ONI remixes to get full chart upgrades. Plus the ONI charts are heavy charts on those, so Hysteria actually doesn't have a full set as it has duplicate heavy/ONI charts. B4U ONI has new charts for everything in UNI1 obsoleting the EM2 beginner-heavy.
Sakura was OMES at location tests, that in no way means that was planned to be permanent. Ever heard the term "placeholder"?
The Monster is Coming is NOT a 10. I'm not sure where you guys are getting this (even Hellrazor thought this) but the game its from uses a modified 3rd mix engine that has NO RATINGS.

Most of the challenge remixes got their full charts on the Ultramix series. The remixers for those that were plucked from the Nonstop Megamixes are properly credited. And in a bias sort of way (mine, at least), they had the initial challenge charts stay as they are and developed easier charts for
to
, so the song on all difficulties wasn't that much harder than other songs (aside for a few gimmicks mentioned above).

STANDARD = BASICTo give a bit more information here, EuroMIX 2 uses different names for the difficulty levels.
DDR Basic/Light/楽 = EM2 Standard
DDR Trick/Standard/Difficult/踊 = EM2 Difficult
DDR SSR/Maniac/Heavy/Expert/激 = EM2 Expert
There is also no Challenge mode in EM2; those songs which in the DDR series are Challenge-only (e.g. B4U (B4 Za Beat Mix)) have those difficulty ratings as Expert, and also contain stepcharts at the lower difficulties, too. This pre-dated Ultramix.

Dunno. I guess I could make you one next time I bother to install EuroMIX 2 on my machine. I've still got some DanceFreaks audio ripping to do before that, though!
And tbh I've over-represented it a little, thinking back I think it's only B4U (B4 Za Beat Mix) and Hysteria 2001 that is on EM2, and none of the other remixes from MAX 2 - it's been a while since I played it.
Thing is, you don't see foot ratings or the like on an EM2 until after you've selected the song.

This could turn out to be a request thread for background videos from EM2, so I won't request any atm.
And yes, it was only for those two songs.

Yeah. and the evidence was "conveniently"non-existent today.
I find the "2nd remix PS1 WILL fail your game despite your performance in Dub-I-Dub and Paranoia when the disc gets scratched up enough" rumor to be funnier.
I played Make A Jam! on my 2nd ReMix disc and it keeps lagging on all difficulties. That sucked so much.I find the "2nd remix PS1 WILL fail your game despite your performance in Dub-I-Dub and Paranoia when the disc gets scratched up enough" rumor to be funnier.
