The Official DDR Accomplishments Thread (Read first post, NO STEPMANIA OR ITG)

Well, guys, I have some decent news that can probably start the next page off well.

I just got my best score in DDRMAX US that I've ever gotten. 3 greats and one controller miss (my controller is insensitive, so you have to push extra hard on the buttons). And my timing is much better on the pad, so I'm bound to AAA this song one day. In other words, once I get my DDR pad, I'm gonna be starting an AAA log.

What song did I achieve this amazing score on?

I got one great AGAIN on Delta max. SAME PERFECT COUNT!


This time the great was even earlier. I feel Delta Max is much easier than Maxx Unlimited. I am planning on getting it this Sunday cause thats my Birthday It would be a nice little Birthday present to myself to PFC that song.

Here are 2 good PFC's I got on video today. I did multiple angles for these. Let me know what you think of that Pluto PFC cause I might try the same camera angles for Delta Max when I get it.

Love the camera angle setup on Pluto PFC. A very important aspect is that the place where the arrows are read (usually about halfway up the Step Zone) and the feet need to lie on a horizontal line so the viewer can follow them easily. I found it much easier to follow the movements on Pluto PFC than on Maxx Unlimited PFC.

Is this your third black flag on deltaMAX? Hopefully you won't have to make a Delta Frustration video.

It will come when it comes. It's just the beginning thats hard to read and time. After 200 combo if I still got the PFC I have about a 50% chance of getting the rest. The problem is I only have about a 15% chance of getting the beginning so I'm betting on those two rare percents happening in a row.

Well this was a bit unexpected for me. I went out with my girlfriend to Hollywood park yesterday and we played DDR together. The 2P side was atrocious... I cant believe the BS it would give you sometimes... ANYWAYS... We were only there for like about an hour and only played a few rounds and on our second to last round we played My Summer Love. I did not think much of it when we played because I AAA'd it before. My girlfriend has gotten 2 greats on this song and she is trying to make it her first AAA... And of course I ended up AAAing it. I felt kind of bad, but I was pretty shocked myself because I have not played it in almost a year and I have not played on a SuperNOVA machine for almost 6 months.

Like I said... The 2P side loves to throw random BS at you. It is funny though that she was 1 point away from a AA XD

Alright so I went to Gameworks today. It has been about 6ish months since I went last and the last time I went left a pretty awful taste in my mouth. All the DDR machines were unplayable. After complaining for months they finally got my friend to FINALLY fix the damn pads.

I went in today and although they could have been better, all panels on each machine worked. I decided to play SuperNOVA and X only, and then later decided to only play DDR X, because a SuperNOVA machine is not that uncommon around here.

Alright so I played about 5 rounds of SuperNOVA. On my last round on the machine I got my first AAA of the day.



After that round I decided it was time to just stick with X only. For those of you that play on X's a lot, I dont think your machine is in as bad of condition as ours. The monitor plexiglass has really deep scratches on it, the 2P side looks like it had been thrown up on (I really wish I took a picture... this thing was freaking dirty!) and no matter how you played you would always go sliding in the middle of playing. Luckily I played on the 1P side and brought so windex to clean up the pads. The sensors were in pretty bad shape and you can tell this machine gets some really bad abuse.

After about 10 rounds I still had no AAA's on X. I was skeptical too because I wasn't sure if it was me or the pads. I tired lifting up my foot higher when I played and stomping harder and it seems to work much better. Not my style of play but I can live with that.

At around that time my friend showed up and he put in ~25 credits in the machine and left (he had a time card that he didn't want to stick around and use). I used all the credits.

During this time of using 25 credits I got four more AAA's...

After using all the credits on the machine my friend left me I started using my own. I got in about 10 more. It was a very hard 10 rounds though. After about 40 rounds of DDR your body is not going to be acting the same way. You lose all your strength, the ability to sweat, your lungs hurt, it becomes hard to breathe and your legs start going dead and your feet hurt A LOT. I struggled through the last 10 games getting very close AAA PFC's, but it was no use. I finally decided to give up. I left the building after what was most likely my 50th round, on my final song choice, Why Not... With one great.

Like I said, I had a great day playing today on my birthday. I'm having problems with my second video now but it should be uploaded shortly. Besides getting lots of good PFC like Max 300, Max 300 SMMM, and a few others, I got 2 new PFC's. Here's the first one and the one I was hoping to get on my birthday.

As I said in the video, I had better runs that day with 1 great but got it with 92. I will try in the future to improve that score and possibly take the world record on it.

The second new PFC I got was so unexpected and I'd say WAY harder than Delta max. I also got the world record on it. That score I'll post later when it finishes uploading .

If you get 8 greats and a good on 5.1.1., you get an A too. I managed to do that the other day, haha.

Also, congrats Dr. D on dMAX. I have no idea how you time that at all.

Yes but maybe Bolt is talking about an A on Extreme or something. And NCs kills the grade on Extreme (even if i don't care).
Like you said, 8greats and a good is also a A on SN. Because it's less than 95%.
Also, Tel wtf @ your NGO nobar. Don't play this sh*t (and it's a 18 btw).

I think i couldn't put more than 2 credits in a row on the places i played/play. I would be scraed that someone wants to play and that i have to explain "hey i have still 15 tokens in the machine so don't forget to put some token in it if you play because it's not free".
But some players DOESN'T CARE (not talking about you Kon because i don't know you IRL) if they play more than one tokens in a row and that other people are waiting. Those people sucks.
I'm assuming that you played on a DDX(US), so you have screen issues too. That's why it maybe took you "so long" to get your first PFC on it.

@Dr.D : My very first guess was a WR on Delta. Well i'm wrong but you still got the PFC.
For the second song, imo, it was Hades. Anyway i want to see what song is it.

Not only did I get the world record but I completely PFC the entire default song list on DDR X2. I had no idea that song was possible today!!!

Jesus Christ! Nice job, I seriously can't believe you PFC'd it for the world record! That song is definitely one of the hardest in the X2 folder for its 16ths and BPM changes. Again, congratulations! Oh and happy birthday of course!
