DanceDanceRevolution X (PS2) (Japan)

Okay, so this game releases in two days, I can probably start playing it on my PS2 the next day or two, unlock the whole shebang that afternoon in an angry DDR fit, install the drivers for my capture card in between songs...

... I might end up uploading videos upon videos by Monday or Tuesday. But don't hold me on that...

It's just not the same. I speak from experience. Sure, Stepmania is nice, but the real thing is sooo much better. You don't even need a JP PS2, you can get Swap Magic or whatever it is. Trust me, playing the actual songs on the actual game can't be beat, except maybe by an actual arcade machine, which we don't have yet. So yeah.


On topic, can they really release the CS version before all the songs are unlocked on the AC? Because then we could play the new songs on CS before they could be played on the AC. That's just weird.

I really hope DDR get better with the time... like Beatmania IIDX, first ....the AC full unlocked and then the CS comes out, DDR need learn from IIDX how make a good CS (exclusive songs, artist collab, etc etc).

this only really applies to newer games IMO. back in the day, 30 FPS didnt seem so bad, but now that i'm so used to 60 FPS playing 3rd mix is pretty rough on the eyes and my timing. also, xbox frame rate, ech. other than those, if its a PS2 game you cant beat it.

Kinda funny, the same thing has happened to me with Screen Filter. I was never bothered by any Pre-X backgrounds, but now I see arrows blending and such and it gets quite annoying...

i dunno, i like the screen filter but other than the occasional background i dont have problems with arrows blending. its the same backgrounds now that were bothering me when extreme was new, so on my home versions i just lower the BG brightness. in the arcade i just live with it.

sweet, someone else has thought of adjusting the brightness. I have mine set to 65% on each game and 60% for those that don't have 65%. That's why you never hear me complain about the arrows blending.

As far as this release goes, I just wanna know if they fixed a really small bug in Course mode, along with making sure that the Information can go up to 100%.

Wait, the Information in X US can't go to 100%??

It can...i think, only possibility would have to be that no one has gotten to it.

I don't think anyone has. Perhaps there is a way to extract information mode text from the disc to see if there is anything that we haven't discovered, or attempted to do in order unlock that information.

Judging by screenshots, no.

They may have been using an older game build to cover up some of the AC features

Yeah, JP CS is going to get Chordia, Harmony, Forte, Pia, and the rest of the HP characters too. With all their costumes.

Im shock to see that HP will be in the mix. Im gonna be up all night and most of the day to unlock everything for you guys and upload on youtube as fast as I can since the game is only gonna be a torrent for now.

WAIT, IS THIS RELEASING TOMORROW? So does that mean by tomorrow afternoon, the game will already be out?
