I've been following this thread from sometime and finally decided to sign up after checking it every 3 - 4 minutes while I waited for ANY news on the long awaited dlc...

After waiting an entire EXTrA year for this game, I would have expected Bemani/Konami to be afraid to stir a rebellion. Appearently that was wrong as well.

The only way they can make amends is to make the first pack free and release it the same time the second one is suppose to come out as well. I would consider it an overdue apology for waiting all night for dlc for a DDR with 50 songs and a sucky theme that is not even as near good as MAX, the first game on the ps2.

Okay let me lay down the truth on some of you people.

KONAMI DOES NOT CARE ABOUT DDR ANYMORE. Maybe in Japan, BUT NOT IN NORTH AMERICA.


They just continue to release games and arcade games because they know there are shmucks like you who are still going to pay for them.

Seriously, why even be here on a Konami heavy, DDR heavy community website. Konami would create a DDR mix with every single previous DDR Mix on disc with the best interface ever and people like you would shout "Konami's out to screw you over!".

You can say he's just wanting to get his side of what's going on, and i understand, but his words aren't quite put well together, hence my "fixed" version up above...

Basically, we are literally getting a pile of shit in a CD cover with the PS3 version, but that doesn't mean that Konami of America is at all done with DDR, i mean they are at least giving us DDR X2 AC with all it's glory and fixed issues with new pads (that is if your arcade gets the entire AC). I don't think they are calling it quits JUUUUUUST yet for DDR in it's entirety, but you can say that their CS DDR games are just starting to fail in ALL aspects, and now with Konami not doing anything (yet) about the DLC issue, yeah the CS division is going down the drain.

As for Sony's involvement, who knows, i don't want to start blaming Sony now, they haven't disappointed me yet, plus i don't have this game so i can't at all be too angry about it as much as anyone here, but it SURE AS HELL SUCKS THAT KONAMI DOESN'T DELIVER ON THEIR WORD ON ALL THINGS CS (Over 150+ DLC on DAY ONE my ass)...with the exception of X2 AC.

They shouldn't have announced a date if it wasn't guaranteed in the first place... Absolute fail.

I think there is a direct correlation between the number of games that bemani takes on and the lack of quality. Before DDR was on all platforms, I'm sure they spent a large percentage of the Bemani console budget on DDR on the ps2. But then every system had their own DDR with multiple releases, rock revolution, an attempt at beatmania, ka revolution, and now dance evolution... And all of them are half decent at best. And we also live in an era of casual/mainstream gaming which further crushed the life out of a thinning franchise. The ACs aren't affected by the chaos on home consoles at all.

All honesty though the CS versions of the DDR games for the Playstation kinda died for me since DDR X, they have been Americanizing the living crap out of it. The song choices are fine to listen, but not really types to play DDR to =\ I really wish they went back to their old roots back like they did for DDRMAX & MAX2

I really hope this DLC isnt a disappointment and it makes up for the delay

Karaoke Revolution, Dance Evolution and this game aren't developed by Konami.

At one point, they had DDR, Beatmania, Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music, Guitar Freaks, Drum Mania, Keyboardmania, Para Para Paradise , Dancemaniax and Rap Freaks on the burner at the same time.

I knew it.
