Didn't they say that you could play the D songs on light or standard and still get Heavy for VD?

I'd imagine that anyone that can do that well on Valkyrie Dimension has no need to play on an easier difficulty to get medals.

Being thrown into EES right after ES sounds very exhausting. I think being able to get medals when playing on Basic and Difficult will allow more players to play farther into VD since some won't be as tired.

Agreed. It would be sweet if Konami pulled off a GFDM for DDR's Encore Extra Stage, where there would be some time to rest before playing it.

I think EES is *specifically designed* to be difficult because you're tired after the ES.

They won't be as tired going into it, but they won't be properly warmed up either.

Aren't most EES actually easier for stamina than the actual ES? They are gimmicks instead usually. >>

Supposedly so, but first EES (DDRMAX) isn't gimmicky, right?
SuperNOVA started it with CHAOS (and it's 10 footer, old scale because it's gimmicky) and then X's default EES (Horatio) isn't gimmicky. The other EES, well... Trigger especially. However I found on the bounce easier to FC than Horatio.
Now X2's RDA EES is hard, and pretty stamina draining to me (although IMO 2 of RDA songs are harder, POSSESSION is same BPM but not gimmicky) AND it's gimmicky, though I already knew all of it's gimmicks up to the end, which I can't do because it's fast. And EES constraint is hard for me on VD.

gimmick EES/OMES didnt start until SN. candy, kakumei oni, and DDR oni arent gimmick charts.
