Wow, I really like the mashups that have come out of this mode so far!

S!ck is just straight up awesome, and is a great follow up to The Sampling Paradise. The inclusion of evergreen, Rising in the Sun, ay curamba!!, Brainstorm, tripping contact, and ICARUS with high energy drum'n'bass and a plethora of wubs is just amazing to listen to.
EΛΠIΣ is really cool for dj TAKA and I like the return of .59 within the mashup. Reminds me a little bit of Cuvelia from Lincle Kingdom.
SYNC-ANTHEM reminds me almost of a "Sampling Paradise" for Tatsh, as I heard a bunch of samples within the song from RED Tatsh songs. Also I really like eurobeat.
CONCEPTUAL is a joy to listen to. Prompt in and of itself was boss, and it combined with what I think is ANDROMEDA II is just balls-out amazing. I could be wrong on the specific song from GOLD that they used.
rumrum triplets is wac goodness, and boy does it deliver. I can't wait until the soundtrack comes out and we can hear it clearly and not through a lineout!

I do subscribe to the idea that LEGEND CROSS is like the lovechild of PARALLEL ROTATION and LINCLE KINGDOM. A couple interesting speculative points: which artists have we not seen yet? L.E.D. hasn't done one yet and neither has Ryu. Also, have we discovered the connection between the "boss characters" and the song? LINCLE KINGDOM had a very consistent theme with the demons but this one is a little more varied and abstract.

The only thing I slightly figured out was rumrum triplets. The middle boy came out from something like a window(?) on the ground and I don't know what he did in the damage animation, but the clear animation shows him getting locked in, the window closed and the black haired boy & girl standing on that window.

By the way, rumrum triplets reminds me of the van Pelt siblings from Peanuts comic. Makes sense since wac made three songs in their name (Linus, Lucy and Traveler Rerun).

I'm really curious which styles will be mixed with 1st style and substream and what artists will be handling them. Knowing that most of the artists who contributed to IIDX early on are no longer with BEMANI, it will be interesting to see who ends up taking either one.

In a perfect world that does not exist, I could see DJ Mass MAD Izm* replicating the sound of either 1st style or substream with his works. (This is also my way of saying, "hey...Mass...where the hell are ya?")

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if L.E.D. is the one to have substream with something else. THE EARTH LIGHT and GENOM SCREAMS should be brought back in LEGEND CROSS fashion.

Eh, I'm not that impressed with the LEGEND CROSS songs.

Although it sounds like, well, a good bunch of TAKA songs (that's the idea, obviously), I liked ΕΛΠΙΣ.
rumrum triplets is pretty good, and easily my favorite of these songs.
SYNC-ANTHEM sounds good at times, but I don't like RED ZONE and some parts are quite iffy.
I don't like S!ck at all. The best part of it is how kors k finally made Rising in the sun sound good.
CONCEPTUAL was quite forgettable. The only thing that I can remember of it was the part that sampled prompt directly.

I was thinking what about HAPPY SKY x SIRIUS for a Ryu song and it's a mix of in the sky and bloomin' feeling. That could work...

Here's my deal with the EXTRA STAGE system. If there's 3 colors for each set of songs (red, blue, yellow). There would only be 10 songs if they do all of the styles. That only fills 2 of the 3 colors. So what's after the 10 mash up songs?

Also rumrum triplets is really growing on me.

Once you've unlocked all 5 songs you have to beat each of them twice. Once with random and once without. If you do this on Another (and for now it's only on Another) you'll earn a crystal. Once you earn all 5 crystals then you win the game!

Upon earning the 5th crystal your archaeologist friend will burst into the room and say (I assume) "That other me is a fake!" The red boss will then drop the illusion and reveal its true form. It also uses the Akashiken Gate (which you just completed) to summon a powerful enemy from the Kupro's past - Dokyou Kyoudai. (The DIAVOLO brothers.) So there's your LED. I'm sure Ryu* is around somewhere. He's never missed a boss cycle. Last time we had to wait several months for LK part 2 before his song appeared.

You also get Astran Light 11-A when this happens, but no one knows what to do next, or if anything can be done at all. I think it's pretty obvious that "DIAVOLO 2" is about to happen and that an Astran Light 12-A must exist if 11-A exists.


Sync-Anthem - madame seashell is probably a Resort Anthem reference
ΕΛΠΙΣ - the character is an evil version of Golializze #275/276. "Take me on a Rainbow Ride" and shit.
rumrum triplets - obvious (also the twin who shouldn't exist is sealed away at the end of the song - can't hurt kids)
S!ck - it's the guy from the ay carumba!! overlays, and he's mad that his song was cut

I haven't figured out Conceptual yet. But the deal with this Legend Cross stuff is that IIDX history is being rewritten by these bosses. And this is bad news for Tricoro City whose sole power source is IIDX music. But your archaeologist friend has a gate which can send you back in time to do battle with them. At first the Kupro doesn't want to do it. But then the archaeologist says that some new music may be discovered, and that settled it.

So far my favorites are S!ck and rumrum triplets. And I like how at the end of the 5 rearranged IIDX songs is going to be a very fitting rearrangement from actual music history. After watching the third cutscene I don't think it's a stretch to assume that DIAVOLO 2 is coming soon.

4th style would make a lot of sense; i would be very surprised if starmine was not included in his mashup.

Saving 4th, HAPPY SKY, EMPRESS and SIRIUS for Ryu* and DJ Yoshitaka respectively. Hopefully, they could create something unique within those styles like (4th x either HAPPY SKY, EMPRESS or SIRIUS and the other two goes to DJ Yoshitaka)

I would also have to predict good-cool and TaQ making an appearance in LEGEND CROSS as well since they are also part of IIDX history. If so, then I am predicting 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th to them.

And finally there's 1st and substream and I am not so sure who is going to make a song that combines those two styles together.
