Agree. It might be me, but Delta Max looks to be at the level as Max 300 & LOM.I think it's harder, but if they REALLY wanted it to be hard, I've made a challenge edit... Well, not yet, but I will, and I'll post it as fast as I can. I have a stepmania video of it, but heaven't uploaded it onto youtube yet.

The stepchart DM Ashura himself made for Delta Max was actually pretty good, they should've just kept that one.

It sucks that they didn't. If they would have kept it, it would've made the game definitely the best DDR game yet, and probably for a while. Oh well, I'm going to import my own chart anyways, might as while do DM Ashura's while I'm at it. Well, when I get UNI 3 anyways.

deltaMAX hasn't had a good step chart yet, I say. Both the StepMania leak and this version abuse silly freeze tricks at the beginning which make no sense, and jump around rhythms like a bipolar cat. It seems like they had no idea what to do with it.
888 is the definition of musical trash, but the Oni steps are entirely fitting, in a Mungyodance kind of way. I just hope Expert is actually, you know, fun and stuff. Difficulty's nice, but that's not the sort of thing I play for kicks.
In terms of steps, I'd say:
1) X - X had a perfect blend of everything that makes DDR fun. Most of the steps are fantastic.
1.5) Universe 3 - Very good, though a little too much rote following of the song. Some variety and creativity is nice, now and then.
5) HOTTEST PARTY 2 - Most of these charts are horribly misrated and trash. Artificially difficult, awkward 16ths thrown in at random, completely ignoring the actual song, and way way way too much double stepping.

You do realize that Dash Hopes is much harder, probably a 24 or 25, don't you? 888 is a walk in the park by comparison.Hence the word: like.
That 444(?) section feels like piece of Dash Hopes, which I why I mentioned it.
I still say its nothing more than an 18 though. It's just the speed that's intimidating. Just be glad they didn't throw in some 16th crossovers for teh lulz.

Agree, although Trigger is unforgivable. Having steps to nothing is completely stupid.
Though X does a good job at even making the easiest charts fun. I love playing Put 'Em Up and Wine Red as well as stuff like Venus oni and Saber Wing.

Uni 3 has a lot of good charts, but I can't shake the feeling on some of the charts that they're a bit more stepmania-ish than they are DDR-ish. Still, it has mostly awesome charts. After seeing Less Than Three's ITG and DDR charts, I'd say its a perfect example of why I prefer DDR charts to ITG's.

Yes, yes, and more yes. I honestly don't know why so many people get so excited about Silver Dream. Maybe it's just me, but I don't enjoy playing Twister on my DDR pad. HP2 has a few gems in its charts, but its just such a shame that its taken such a dive. I really enjoyed a lot of HP1's charts.

I think this might be the worst Universe game so far. The Bemani originals are actually no better than the commissioned songs from both previous versions, and some of them (Sakura Storm and L.A.Evolved) are just horrible. I'd probably need to play the charts to make a solid opinion about this, but all of the 9s I have seen so far don't seem worth playing.

The vid of Sakura Storm made the Oni look really fun. And it's Ryu* so I'm immediately biased to love his song. (Slap)
Anyways, I thought the songlist was pretty solid. I haven't heard them all but the one's I heard I liked. <3 FTW. deltaMAX. 100sec. Kitchen Battle!! 777!!!!
The one chart that does look really retarded is murmur twins Oni. No Konami. Just no.

Here's the deal with DeltaMAX.
When the final version of the song was given to Konami, I was asked whether I wanted to write steps for any of my songs. I asked to work on aftershock!! and DeltaMAX. They said that there may be a few revisions here or there, and that seemed fine. aftershock!!'s steps are mostly my own, with only a couple of small edits being made (like that there wasn't a freeze during the tempo stop.) These edits were just fine.
With DeltaMAX, Ryan (DukAmok) decided that he didn't like pretty much any of my charts and instead wanted to take the chart in a "different" direction. I very much disagreed with him on this, as when I saw his chart (the one in the game), it seemed that just about everything was wrong with it. However, he was pretty much the one with the decision making power and not me.
I'm very unhappy with the chart in the game . . . I feel like it basically ruined the song.
I do still have the steps that I made, actually. If you guys would like, I'll upload them and link to them here. I forget the difficulties on Double, but on Single it's Beginner 4, Light 8, Standard 9, Heavy 10, Oni 12 (since recent DDR bosses have been going in the range of ItG 12's nowadays.) Heavy is mostly the same in the beginning, with a few slight changes, and then with much less bullshit after 300 bpm (no stupid doublesteps, and none of the Faxx jumpstepstepjumpstepstepping at around 350ish.) Oni is . . . well . . . hard. It was planned to be the next step up in boss-ish-ness.
So what do you guys think...? Do you guys want to see the steps I originally submitted?
