Maybe the thread the user created might turn heads.
That is either a legitimate statement or the dumbest answer I have ever heard. But then again the last spambot used a website too. But I hardly believe its going to happen again. Watch time go by and we will see what happens.

She/he joined a Bemani website to advertise a site about baby names. You aren't in the least bit skeptical?

Hello there,
I am really happy to find this place. I've been playing DDR for 9 years under a rock in this one arcade town. Nobody I know enjoys/obsess over the game of the dance like I do. In fact, I feel like I'm the only one in town that does. (kind of like the only guy who like D&D but nobody wants to play it)
I got in on when I think the DDR craze was kind of dieing on the internet. The only dancing forum I knew of about the time was ddrfreak.com and that is kind of down and out now.
I have all the games for the PS1/PS2. (played that online) I've got DDR on my PSP and my Laptop. I've played stepmaina from time to time online with pads. I've gone thought 6 foam pads and 2 plasic pads (mostly from playing doubles). Also, I'm planing to buy a ipad and get DDRS+ (which I was looking up and found this website)
As for myself, I am Music Major in college. My main area of study are, percussion, conducting, and bass. I'm planing to become a music teacher (to support my DDR habit :p)
Anyways, I can tell you how I got into DDR and whatnot, but I'm sure there is a forum for that. I hope that I will be a good contribute on this site. If you have any questions or whatnot, just ask.

Hihi!
How do you hide your secret DDR addiction? I figure it's different from D&D, because D&D players don't have to go into an arcade or a mall, and play their game in public!
Do you play any other Bemani games? DDR-S isn't really that fun on the iPad, but if you don't mind spending money on the device, and a fraction more to pick up all the song DLC packs, Jubeat is pretty amazing.

Well, I don't really hide it. A lot of people know that I play it, but they aren't really interested in playing. I live in a small town so I don't have a ton of ways to play the game. The DDR Game that we have in town is in an "all you can eat" pizza place. It is DDR extreme (of course) and it costs 50cents to play (50 more for doubles). It is kind of feels weird as a 30 year old man to go in there and play it. So I do most of my playing in my room in the dorms. (PS2/Stepmanian) However, now that I found out about the DDR scorekeeper, I might just have to start going back to the "Arcade" and look kind of weird to other people.
As for other Bemani games, there a few that I would really like to get into. The biggest problem is that I live in a town that doesn't have them. I've looked into emulation. The only one that I've really looked into is DrumMania. I want to get a good midi drum set to play that one however, that costs a lot of cash. (I would use the drum set for practicing as well).
I am an conductor/performer and I don't want to lug a ton of scores/sheet music so I am getting an Ipad in a few weeks. As for the reason for wanting DDR-S, the main reason is I would like to have DDR wherever I go. I've played DDR a ton on my PSP. So the idea of playing it on the ipad appeals to me. Also,I like the fact that you can buy songs and give some money to the people who make the game. I'll just hold off on buying the $65 user pack until I know I like the setup.
I've never hear of Jubeat before. I'll have to look that game up and add that to the list of apps to get. Thanks for pointing it out.

I loved played MtG for many years. In fact, I was really into it for the longest time. I stopped when my friends that I played with moved. I had nobody to play it with. All this took place when the 9th core dedition came out. I played again last year with some ranom people in the Dorms but it was very frustrating. They had decks that make 1/1 tokens into 20/20 in like 4 or 5 turns. Also, they would give themselves so much life that I couldn't win (and I was trying to make them loss by discard their library). So all in all, that kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I know we have Fryday Night Magic at the game store, but I think I'm behind the times with the game. What's even worse for a time I played Pokemon Card game for a time because that's all everyone played. Now, I have no one to play with!
D&D was always a fun game for me. I just stopped when there was nobody to play it with.

Yeah, it's tough to have no one to play with.
(Well, discarding their library is a kitchen table idea. It has never really worked out in the whole. Compared to a deck that can discard their own awesome cards and then just put it into play on turn 2... Yeah...)

I think I was outclassed with my old deck that I had. The way they were playing felt like a different game that I played with my friends years ago. I didn't feel the need to spend $100's of dollars to keep just be competitive with those guys that I play a few games with. Now having said that, I'm sure I am being grossly unfair to the game. I play it for years and had a great time. I just played with those guys a few times and then gotten turned off by it. I would love to start playing again, however, there isn't anybody my age to play with so my cards just sit in a box and collect dust. *sigh* Maybe I should move. :p
I guess there is MtG online...

My Yu-Gi-Oh! cards have been unsued for quite some time. M friends whom I played against got caught up in serious schoolwork and have graduated (I still have a few subjects before I graduate). I have no one to play with at school.
And some people think its improper for someone my age to still be playing with cards that don't have a Jack, King or Queen.

Thanks I might just do that.
@megeman17
Well, as they say, it takes two baby and playing by yourself is just like playing solitaire. Also, you're correct that age doesn't matter, but it was kind of weird to play Pokemon at a city tournament when you were 26 and the kids were 12-15.

Hey guys! I've used the machine tracker for long enough so I figured I should at least try to contribute something around these parts. I've played DDR/ITG for about 5 years on and off now, and I've been through a bunch of different machines and groups of people, because the number of arcades around these parts with DDR is diminishing (and Betson's pads certainly aren't helping matters). That's about all I've got for the moment. Introductions were never my thing.
@mageman17: You could play Yu-gi-oh online here: http://www.duelingnetwork.com/. The site's good, but you have to do most actions manually.

Well, the problem is some language barrier between people. Just state "ENGLISH ONLY" and you'll be ok.
