and one more follow up that's similar. Not sure what chart it's from, though... one of the new X3 bosses, perhaps?

Clearer audio of the song.
It's pretty epic! The BG video at the fail point appears to be someone selecting PARANOiA on a 2nd mix cab.
Shame about the fail.

This has blown my mind. I think this is the greatest surprise I could've imagined.
But at the same time.. does anyone else think this would be the most fitting end to the DDR series? A PARANOiA remix, using steps from so many previous boss songs, featuring that infamous MAX.(period) esque section where the background video shows a song being selected, the "thank you" at the end of the song, CLIMAX being in the artist' name... As much as I'd hate to see it, if this was the final mix and PARANOiA Revolution the final song.. I'd be happy. I don't think they could top this as a grand finale. Anyone else agree?

The only way they could top this as the grand finale is to have Max. (period) itself appear.
That'd be a shame though considering the rest of this mix wasn't as exciting.
Hopefully these new songs will be playable on X3 mode so we don't have to keep looking at flat arrows and blinding BG vids, and we can see the X-scale foot ratings.

I wonder if TRIP MACHINE Evolution will follow suit and/or be similar to PARANOiA Revolution's chart. Because of the "Evolution" subtitle, I'm thinking the stepchart could be a slight mash-up of all previous TRIP MACHINE charts in order before going into something different.

Coming to think of it, since X they revived old licences, again with X2 to X3, with it's motto "crossing generations", right?
Paranoia Revolution has done that. If anything it's a shame they didn't do these types of crossovers within 2nd mix mode sooner. Or since X being the international anniversary version.
If/When DDR goes out, it'll definitely go out with a bang, surely with an archive of interfaces as we've only just seen in X3.

Graduation and DanceDanceRevolution were the most fitting end to the DDR series, and that end lasted for about 6 months?

I think the ratings of 9 and 10 are really just symbolic and aren't meant to be like an actual 9 or 10 would have been back in the day. That being said, I think it's hilarious that these songs are forced on 1x flat because of 2ndMIX MODE. No wonder haven't seen a pass yet, that incomprehensible mess of arrows is unreadable.
