sounds like standard procedure to me. its no different than barely AAing LTBHE and then BOOM level 10 max300/maxx unlimited (because 6th and 7th dont let you choose ES).

The way things are now it's easier to GET to VD yet harder to pass it? Makes sense to me.

Note that this video still doesn't get as far as the current world record of ~960,000.
Also, something odd came up when I tried to find out how many steps were in the song based on score. According to the beginning, each step is 1490 points maximum, which comes out to 669-673 steps in the song. However, that can't be right because right before the ending speedup, the score is at 599 combos and ~920,000. However, if there really are 669-673 steps in the song, then even having 599 Marvelouses up to that point would give a score of around ~890,000.

Yeah also the text for the title and artist looks slanted as well.Also the lines you get from taking pictures of the display are not on the album art as well.
I could go on and on, but I think it's quite obvious now that it's fake.

Don't forget that it's rounded down (IIRC) and did you count the OKs?
Edit: 669-673 (and because it's rounded down, taken to the extreme maybe 667)
I counted and found 38 OKs. that means 599 + 38 = 637 => 949 130 max. (assuming one marvelous gives exactly 1490 points)

Ohh, that's why. I can't believe I forgot about OKs.
And I just checked a MFC video - the score does round down, not to the nearest multiple of 10 like I thought.
Looking at the results screen and using some calculations, the song has exactly 671 steps and OKs combined. This means 633 steps without the 38 OKs we've seen.
The most likely step patterns now are:
- 4 measure death run that ends before the beat, plus a final freeze arrow
- 4 measure death run that ends on the beat, with the last arrow being a freeze arrow
