DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX (AC) (Japan)

I think it's a play on the remix name, you know, PARANOiA Revolution and TRIP MACHINE Evolution.

Catastrophic, Apocalyptic was ULTRAMIX's name for 10s.

9 = Catastrophic
10 is believed to be Apocalyptic based on DDR Universe.

10 - Apocalyptic, although there were no 10-footers until 6th and the naming scheme was ditched since 4th, this was used in one of the Ultramixes/Universes I think.

Oh yikes. That's what I meant! 9 is catastrophic and 10 is apocalyptic. I forgot since they don't rate songs like that anymore xD

9-footers weren't introduced in the DDR series until SSR Mode on 3rdMIX. 2ndMIX maxed out at 8 feet. So I guess that's why Konami opted to retcon the Catastrophic rating for something new.

Also, the Catastrophic name for 9-footers was in the 2ndMIX Club Versions. I don't know if they came before 3rdMIX though.

Just noticed on those two new pics, the CDs are between two SP-Trip machine jungle mix CDs and Paranoia max dirty mix CDs respectively and I believe the ones on the right are actually roulette discs. Creepy. How did the cameraman time his shots to end up with that...

"Revolutionary?" Oh boy....I'm thinking a few things.

1. The stepcharts are going to be done in a way to emulate classic 10 footers, since they are currently in the 2ndMIX MODE.

2. The stepcharts are going to surprise us and be as hard as PARANOiA Survivor MAX (ONI) and/or Valkyrie dimension

3. It may be a way to throw us off and could possibly include both above ideas, meaning that so far in 2ndMIX MODE, MANIAC is the hardest difficulty that you'll get. However, if these two songs do appear in the X3 MODE as well, we could be surprised with an extra CHALLENGE stepchart for each. And maybe...just maybe, one or both of the songs will be our first 20 footer.

Can't wait to see video of these songs.

Hopefully they are about as hard as old scale 10 footers or that completely ruins the point of having a different scale in each mode.

Was going to post that PARANOiA Revolution video, but got ninja'd.

Someone mentioned that PARANOiA Revolution -SP has 510 steps, but this wasn't confirmed yet.

Welp, scratch my first idea. That chart looks a bit painful. But if I am right about the two songs being brought over to the X3 SIDE as well as have hidden CHALLENGE charts...I won't be surprised if a 20 footer finally appears (at least with PARANOiA Revolution).

Haha it's going back to that trend since I think PARANOiA Rebirth? (which has steps of most 3rdMIX songs including AFRONOVA, DYNAMITE RAVE, MR. WONDERFUL, WONDERLAND (UKS Mix) to name a few?)
