Is it me? or is there more 10s then 17s & 16s.

That's probably true. In every DDR since 2nd mix, the largest concentration of foot ratings was 7 footers, then 8 footers, then 9 and so on. So it's no surprised the largest concentration in X is 9-11 footers. Though I will there's a large abundance of 17 and 18 when compared to 14s and 15s. you would think it would be like a bell curve with the peak being at 10 footers. There's been very few really good 9 (or 13/14 by X) footers since Extreme that weren't just stupid (hai there Supernova 2).

If you want a sizable selection of 15+ charts, then go for custom simfiles. I realize they aren't overwhelmingly common here, but other simfile sites I've been to have a 15+ chart for almost every song posted.
Oh, but if you want doubles, you're mostly stuck with officials. Go figure.

SN2 was a slump in the stepwriters' skill. Half of the 8's were clearly 7's (even Saturn and Votum Stellarum were half-assed in certain parts) and we had no real 9 except for volcano and possibly CaptivAte ~chikai~ (Venus is really an 8, Arrabbiata is really a 10 and the boss charts are mostly copypastas of the Onis and not really easy enough to be a whole foot rating lower). Also, the steps simply weren't as good. Doubles was okay, but Singles was obviously lacking.

X bounced back from that, even if we still have a lot of 9's and 10's (new scale; it's funny how we wanted 9's and 10's before and now we have too many ).


15 isn't always feasible, but I always try for at least 13. Then again, a lot of official songs don't have .
That's what I love about DDR Encore.

Got it a week or so ago, haven't had the time to go through and play his doubles stuff. Singles seems solid for what he was trying to do.
But that's what I mean. For doubles, you have DDR, ITG, then a couple random packs, then a tiny smattering of random files.
About all you can expect for most customs is S-

Um...Duh? 16s and 17s are stuff like PSMO and PRO, while 10s are stuff like DYNAMITE RAVE(Down Bird SOTA Mix) and Electrified. It should not be surprising that the they outnumber 16s and 17s.

Measure 69: needs two arrows; the jackhammer goes on for another beat. The ending is a beat early because of this.

Anway, while the idea of X Specials is kinda cool, I wish Konami would come out and admit which ones are meant to be joke/PITA charts, and which ones are meant to be fun. It also sucks that them being "available" is completely meaningless if you're not a skilled player. Also makes it a severe PITA to try to get good at them, because even if you can get them, it's only one song out of a set, and you're playing with a severe limitation on how much you can mess up.

It's the same effect as the MAX2 Challenge songs. You played them if you were good. And I'm fine with that. I know there's no way I'll legitimately play KAKUMEI (X-Special), but that's cool, it makes them kind of exclusive. For a long time, the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE was exclusive only to skilled players as well.

define "skilled", because i can pass pretty much all of the 7th mix oni remixes in oni mode. i fail oni do ni because of kakumei reverse dark, not drop out oni >_> then again, i might be as good as what was considered skilled back then, i dont really know.

So I know how to get 1st, 5th and 7th.

I'm pretty sure how to get Extreme and 6th. (Will try them today)

But any clue on the other ones? Dont tell me to just play certain songs because probably I already tried. There must be a special kind of options to use to unlock them I just dont know it.

The more I know, the more videos I'll get today.

I'm really glad unlocking and playing X-Specials serves as a new challenge for skilled players. This will bring the DDR community up in the US when it gets released since half or most of the skilled players can play every song in the older ones. DDR X is looking to be pretty good.

Dr. D, don't give up hope on Maxx Unlimited . You can do it. And your hard work on taking videos is really appreciated.

Hey guys, just thought I'd make an aside about the SD cards. They may end up actually being an advantage if the computer program has every song in X AC, since then we'd be able to make edits for the Hottest Party songs!

I know that was the set. I did that as well. First time I played it on expert. Second time I played it on basic like he did.

Both times did NOT work.

I'm trying to tell you guys that I really have tried so many things. I was there for 3 hours just trying shit out!

Like I said, obviously in that case there must be something to do with mods cause its not just the songs.
