BemaniWIKI says The Legend of Max has 527 steps with 17 freezes. The original has 500 steps (using DDR X comboing).

I surely hope these aren't e-Amuse only when they hit the US. Of course, worse comes to worse, we should have step editing so we can always use that to get our X-Special fix. Of course, if Konami were smart, they'd offer some deal where a conversion kit would give you 6 months of free e-Amuse service, a dedicab would get you 1 full year, that way arcades can give the service a test run and if it does very well, they'll have customers demanding they keep it after the trial.

I have one thing to say about that chart. LAME!
Complete disregard for where the previous stream left the person's feet, jumps tossed in at random, 16th taps. Get stuffed and stop paying keyboard players to make charts, Konami.

...so pretty much most (if not, all) X-specials are available, it's just that we don't know how to specifically unlock them (except for 1st mix, 5th mix, and MAX2).
Damn school and it's blockage of Youtube
(even IF i were to use a proxy to go to the site, i would need to install the latest flash player to view the videos...which installing anything onto school computers is illegal

Only 3rdMIX are the unseen ones with AFRONOVA and PARANOIA Rebirth as the X-Specials. People on 2ch are thinking it has something to do NONSTOP MODE songs that were on 3rdMIX.

I confirmed MAX 300 X-Special
You have to play MAX folder's song with x1.5, reverse
I played
1st CANDY
2nd MAX300
3rd On The Break
all with x1.5 reverse
then MAX300 X-Specail appears in MAX foder
if you get AA, CANDY is unlocked.
and this is the info from my friend
1st MAX300 EXPERT AA
2nd MAXX Unlimited EXPERT AA
3rd Random (Of course you need to get AA)
then the legend of max X-Special is unlocked
if you get AA Dance Dance Revolution is unlocked.
Maybe it's relating to the songs in legend road
if your can play 4stages MAX300, MAXX Unlimited, Sakura would be needed I think

I LOVE Healing Vision's steps. I will be making an edit to play it at home.
Maxx Unlimited's steps don't look that bad. Personally, tt's not my kind of chart. It's been passed, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for now.

the unlocks for MAX is understandable (it was the first mix to introduce the 1.5x, reverse Extra stage concept)
the EXTREME unlock method doesn't sound to definite, but how should i know? Anyways, thanks for the info guys! =)

Maybe choosing 3 random songs nets you in roulette? The question is, what would be the EES after this?
I was going to suggest playing one of the AMD mix songs to get a 3rd mix X Special.... but only Gradiusic Cyber's left. Pft;

I heard that when PARANOiA MAX X Special is unlocked,
if you choose Random, PARANOiA MAX X-Special in roulette appears.
Stepchart is the same as PARANOiA X-Special like the old one

So wait, are these songs unlocked for full play or do you have to meet these conditions for each game?
