Its good seeing alot of people are recognizing a great DDR game, like I thought Supernova 2 was pretty good considering the amount of songs that were on it.
But this one far beats Supernova 2, how many where still surprised to see Hero on DDR X? I was truely surprised.

I'm glad DDR X is selling so well. Konami really tried to appeal to more people and obviously they did something right. I just hope that they work this hard on the AC/JP versions, though with this year being the 10th anniversary and DDR having a larger following across the ocean, I'm sure they will.

X is overall better than SN2. You have a nice variety of licenses, plenty of "new" songs (i.e. not "catchup" songs already on the JP version), and great steps (of course SN2 can't boast this). I'm surprised sales are up only because it's almost-outdated PS2.

Outdated, but not dead.
There are still more games coming out for the PS2 and not those crappy movie-based games either. I don't think it will be officially dead for another 6 months, more if companies decide to move some JP-exclusive stuff to NA later on, but I digress.
I'd seriously be surprised if SN2 outsold DDR X, regardless of console age.

so did Konami have to pay Toshiba to use the x-Edits songs, or a different label?

yea I know a couple of games still coming out to the USA for the PS2 that were orignally made in Japan, (KH Re CoM, its about time we get it) and PS2 will probably end either the end of this year, or early on next year, thats what I think my gamestop guy told me that it would end this fall, but look KH Re CoM is coming out on Decemeber 2nd, so that showed him I hope...

anyways to get back on topic.
yeah has anyone even gotten 100% done yet? I'm curious, because if no one has and if there stuck, then maybe Konami might give us more secrets like with Extreme USA.

Since licenses haven't been repeated until now (technically, they're X-edits, but you get the idea), I'm guessing a different label. smile.DK is on one, anyway (which also explains their appearance in Universe 3).Post #4413 · Posted at 2008-10-07 06:52:33am 16.7 years ago

You should find all the licensing details in the game credits and the manual.

Just checked the in-game credits:
Boys, Butterfly and Dub-I-Dub are licensed to EMI Music. Get Up'N Move and Hero are licensed to independent labels.

I don't believe anyone has mentioned this:
Because Konami updated the coding to SN2 AC's and not X AC's, the announcer doesn't talk nearly as often in the CS version as he did in the location test.
