DDR X2 (AC) (International)

Guys, since this mix is huge like Panstyle said, do you think there's a chance a new DDR AC won't come out for 4 years? (like a certain green color mix?). I could of sworn SN2 and X wasn't as big of a deal as X2.

They stated at AOU2010 in February they had begun work on X3, so we will likely see the next AC DDR in 2011.

part of the reason SN2 and X werent a huge deal is because the SN2 loc test spoiled the unlocks, and X CSspoiled the unlocks. the mixes themselves were a big deal, a lot of peole just didnt care.

Wow, didn't know (and I usually pay attention to DDR details. Been coming to this site a lot since July). Since X2 is so awesome now, it's going to be hard to top.

But on a more nitpicky note, does anyone else notice that X3 is the first time that Konami is using a 3 since 3rd style?

Is it confirmed being called X3?
Also, Tokyo Evolved is the first Naoki boss song I liked since LoM.

The name X3 may change, think of it as a placeholder for now. But I wouldn't be surprised if it does end up being X3. DDR has had no continuity since EXTREME, and it would get DDR back on a numerical track so those who don't know DDR history would immediately know what came before what, which I think is a good idea.

Actually, i did hoped OsakaEvolved and specially 777 get into X2, but i don't think they will. But I still think that there will be at least 2 more songs as surprising as Vanessa and Zeta were(even though I expected a new Zektbach song in X2).

I'm wondering NEKOMATA Master's song will be crossover to DDR.. Like Caring Dance,or Infinite Cave..

Apparently FIRE FIRE will be unlocked for full play tomorrow.

Update was released today, apparently you can get medals for RDA songs now by playing BASIC and DIFFICULT.

I wonder if they'll start a new time-based unlock thing for September? I saw this in the wikipedia article on ZETA

As for what the unlock may be, if it is gonna happen, could be a number of things. Could be 777, could be Miley Cyrus' 7 Things (LOOOOOOL), could be a new track, could even be a time-unlock for each day of the week. I 'unno.

You forgot to mention the worst part.

1. No matter how you earned your medals, you can only unlock VD
2. All options that will decrease the number of arrows (CUT, JUMP, FA) will be disabled in EES

I heard it was spelled ZETTA in math terms. Did anyone ever catch the lyrics in ZETA? I always wondered what they were saying.

Hmmm... Having to play VD regardless of how you got the medals is a weird move. It CAN help players get to VD faster. Though if someone could only handle most of the boss songs on at the highest difficulty, throwing them into VD is a tad cruel, no?
Having the step mod options disabled on EES was kind of a given. I'm pretty sure Konami wants this to be challenging (though even with Cut2, it looked pretty tricky)

At least I can understand it... I guess my friends will probably be giving me their encore stage from now on so I might be playing it more. Now if they only let you play RDA songs in vs. play.

Also, not sure if its been mentioned but the timer has been increased at the results screen . Only by 5 more seconds, 15 total, but its much better than before.
