Couple of notes this week:
- The other two owners get podia, and I finish 15th. Truly form befitting of the Inaugural Battle Royal Champion, there.
- Only one DQ this week! That's more like it.
- Not naming names, but I would like it in future if the votes you send JUST had the songs that got points and HMs. The less text I need to cut out, the better.

So, we're effectively halfway through the week, and we are starting to see the board take shape. If you want a ticket into the final, you're going to have to start knocking them out of the park, and start doing it now.

OK well now that votes have been released, I figured I'd post [Short] rankings like I have in past years before private voting.

As always, please note that these are simply where I felt these files ranked in terms of my preferences. As fun as difficult files can be, I'm a sucker for charts that are simple in their choreography, but still allow the player to have fun. That's why I thought Arcana and Fembot shined this past round--they didn't rely on difficulty to make it enjoyable for the player (which obviously in this case would be me).

If anyone has any questions with regards to where they ranked, I'd be more than happy to elaborate via PM, so feel free to contact me with any questions and I'll get back to you when possible.

BTW, if you are new to this and find yourself placing low on a regular basis, please check out these posts that I've sought guidance from since as early as 2012. Well, it looks like I am once again in need of a partner. I have a few songs I could potentially use for this round, but it depends on whoever wants to collab with me (or if you have song ideas for me, let me know too).

Question: how will the leaderboard points be distributed for this round? I'm guessing that both steppers in 1st place get 20 points, both steppers in 2nd get 15, and so on?

Another question: this round doesn't add 1 person to the overall count of people allowed in the VIP round, right? (so there's still only 15)

Then again with gameoson winning every round there should be plenty of point spots left

Me and vincentw are strongly considering a collaboration (I'm finally going to get in the contest), but there's other people I'm interested in possibly collaborating with. I'll make my decision by the end of today.

So, uh, I guess if anyone wants to collab with me I'm open to whatever song suggestions you want to send my way. PM me and if I hear something I like I'll collab. Or if you've got no song ideas, I've got some WIPs lying around that we could use instead.

So just as a heads up, the simfile database was not a fan of how HealingDMax300 named their file with the star symbol, so it may not show up if you download it from there or if you downloaded chewi's pack. If that's the case, you may want to retitle the folder and the files containing the symbol. I personally just replaced the starts with dashes.

[Rock Out] - Ultra Super Dragon Soul / Takayoshi Tanimoto won't appear in your StepMania at first because it has a special character in the folder and filenames. Remove it and you should be fine... people seriously please name your stuff right.
