Pendual now has a voting system for selecting songs that should be in NEKOMATA Expert Course. When you're playing Standard mode, there's a menu selection called "Expert Vote" which you can select which Nekomata song you want to play on it. See links for details.

You need to play the songs to vote?

It doesn't look like you need to play
You go to the vote folder and select songs you want, that's all

By the way, the new song, TA・DA☆YO・SHI by Y&Co. is a 10 but rather hard to be honest (lots of scratch and BSS while playing one-handed)

to be honest TA DA YO SHI has the longest BSS ever I guess.

I can confirm this is correct. You have only 4 songs to vote, which I'm not sure if you can undo your votes (will check this Friday).

Update: To unselect your vote, you reselect the song you don't want.

I have a quick question - do you stand or sit when playing IIDX? Does it really matter if you stand or sit?

And should I start using random mode more because I am now stuck at level 9.

Random works, but S-Randoms on LVL 6-7 are more optimal since it forces you to learn how to read odd/complex patterns. Also, jackhammers are more prominent in harder songs. Yes it's too damn difficult at times, but who cares if you're just practicing/having fun. ;3
Random is still good, but it only randomize the note placement once, not constantly.

Also, standing is the way to go at an arcade.

Not shocked. Special Vacation kind of sounds like a song under his D-Crew name.

There is the 3 new Touhou song implanted today (as well as another voting for a new course, this time LED course)
And actually the overall consensus is that the nekomata remix (6/9/12) is a lot easier than the Redalice remix (6/9/11)

Even I got 21 miss on nekomata (it'll probably be one of the rare 12 chart I can ex-hard) while Redalice's had 33 miss (and I actually failed to Hard clear it, it has been a while this my white 11 folder changed colors)

I think 千年ノ理 (The Nekomata Master one) is actually harder than Scarlet Moon (The REDALiCE one).
It's just that Scarlet Moon's chart is very annoying.
But I do agree with the majority that 千年ノ理 is one of the easiest 12s (probably not the easiest though, but it depends).

All the charts, including 妖隠し (The TOTTO one), are fun
(and need a lot of time to grind for scores, so RIP to my wallet).

Some of my friends think that Scarlet Moon is actually harder than Little Star (I won't go that far though)
Well, it's of course a matter of personnal taste as well, but in the end I Ex-harded千年 in 5 tries...the same number of tries it took me to simply Hard clear Scarlet Moon (be it the non-ran or the ran charts none seem to ever be a hit chart...)

Also, I realised nothing was said about it, but the current on-going "event" of the love-point ranking will earn you

Soo umm　I just start playing beatmania iidx about a week ago (went on 4 seperate occasions during the week) for about 1 hr each day. I am able to play most 6-7s and pass some 8's. My question is this bad? normal? or am i ahead of the curve?

It's not bad, it just means that you're learning and progressing at it. That applies to pretty much anything that anyone does.
