Z-I-v Summer Contest 2014 [CLOSED]

Gongshun Seng -
Interesting use of Hands. I thought the the rhythms went well with the song. Only thing with that was that they were repetitive. I probably would have enjoyed and appreciated it more if I had a pad to work with.

Love Runs Out -
Pretty Solid chart, the rhythms were pretty consistent. The Ending with the Freezes was kind of unexpected but it fits, I guess.

Shangri-La -
Chart was filled with Double-steps. The stops were really unexpected and I didn't like it that much. I was expecting more with this song. The song sounded good, and I don't know how fun this would be to play.

Wadatsumi -
Steps flowed really well. The ending was fun. The Difficult was good ,too

Werewolf Boyfriend -
I like this one. Not sure if the breaks towards the end were really needed, but I thought the chart was good!

Clocktower-
I liked the first half of the chart better than the second half. Going with the drums and stuff was good. I think the difficulty spiked a little too suddenly and the patterns were all of a sudden way harder. Maybe to improve it, make the patterns simpler (i.e. L-D-L-D-U-R-U-R), or make one trill of 16ths, then follow it with 8ths.

Atropos -
It was OK-good, IMO. The 16ths streams (the 9 note ones) probably should be simplified, like the 12ths are.

Halcyon -
Expert was OK, I like the slowdown in the song. I felt that the Expert chart was just a long Stream of 8th notes. Especially towards the end. I think more could have been done with it in a Challenge chart. But the song made want to play it over and over again and I started to like it more.

Chupacabra -
Song was all right and that slower part must have been pretty hard to step! You did that part well. The rest of the chart was good, it went well with the song.

HYDRA -
Challenge was really fun to keyboard. Expert was fun, too. Really good file overall.

RAGNAROK -
Loved the chart. That slow beginning is so evil! Only thing that could've been better, maybe having more Stream-y stuff during the "chorus" so to speak instead of the Freezes that went to the melody.

Unicorn Tail -
Challenge - That was pretty fun. Only thing I didn't like was the 8ths during the Freezes. Expert - This was really good. Difficult - Good for the song. It wasn't too much.

Titans Return -
Challenge, now that I've played it twice, I like more. Expert was better than Challenge, IMO

Angelic Tears -
For me, the file was pretty off-sync. For a lot of the chart, you're facing the same direction. There are multiple inconsistencies with the Freeze Arrows in certain areas. Also, there's still numerous doublesteps. (Although a couple of the jacks worked as footswitches). The chart was just boring in general. Just basically Streams of 8th notes. No 16ths or anything.

Macuilxochitl -
way off-sync. Took away from the chart. I resynced it, and replayed it and...was not impressed. The steps were off some of the rhythms that you tried to capture. Try to pay attention to the syncing more and try to make sure you have the timing right.

NEMESIS -gratitude Remix-
Those stops really threw me off. They threw me off in a good way. And that one really long stop that lasted for...I don't know how long,...the suspense killed me! Really good in those aspects! Loved it!

Anubis -
I liked the first part of the song. Then afterwards, I wasn't completely sure what the song was going to. The 8th jumps just seemed kind of random. The arrow placement in the slowdown was kind of weird too.

Midas Touch -
I think the whole chart should have gone to the bass drum line. Or at least stayed a little more consistent. During the chorus you went to the drums, and then you switched to the vocals for the rest of the time. It was still good enough for an HM.

Vampire Killer -
This would be a pretty hard song to step for me. Not much of the melody stands out. I think you did a pretty good job for the song, but I don't know, some of the 16th streams didn't really make sense.

PANDORA -
This one was kind of inconsistent. In the beginning you had a certain rhythm, but in a similar part later on, you did something completely different. That rap part was probably over-crossover-ed (idk if that's a word)

SIREN -
This was good. Only thing was that you switched to the vocals suddenly during the part with the 4th Jump-steps.
The Last Unicorn -
didn't like it too much. It was noticeably off-sync for me.

Afterlife -
It was better towards the end. The beginning was kinda hard to step.

Ouroboros -
I liked this, for the most part. The middle with the Streams after the Freezes didn't really fit for me.
