I think this would probably a good thing because it would suggest that VD is the top tier of difficulty and they don't necessarily plan on making stuff much harder than it. As long as it's a 20, suckers like me are still going to be sayng "wow, just wait until a 20 comes out".

this sadly, the majority of the charts on hottest party whatever number it was/ddr 2010 were pretty damn poor... hopefully challenge charts that dont involve shock arrows or complete resteps are invol... oh who cares its never going to be playable outside of japan anyway.

so far I'm not too excited about most of the song list...

Yeah, the test is a bit of a letdown. I was personally hoping the DDR 2010 songs wouldn't make it in because I don't like most of the charts, but I remember a lot of the Japanese players complaining that they didn't any of the songs on a CS release, so I guess this is throwing a bone to them. Plus, Eddie posted the songlist for DanceDanceRevolution II earlier today, so that kind of killed the buzz off of those four songs, so the only real "surprise" there was Diamond Dust.

I hope they add some more new songs for the next round of tests though. Or better yet, add some songs to this location test like they did with X2's. I'm kind of doubtful on the latter though, since this test is so short.

Same here. Most of it is not that surprising anyway. I even expected Diamond Dust to be in the game (like everyone else).
