Where are composers finding these clips, I wonder...

On Vocal Sample CDs?

The Dazzlin' Darling vocal track is by Kate Lesing. I'm pretty sure it's from this CD, or another Vocal Sample CD from the same company :

If I'm right, before DDR X2 AC, the first and only time we can hear eurobeat on DDR (except the one produce by in-house BEMANI artists) are in DDR Disney Rave on PSX.

There's been Eurobeat starting from 4thMIX: BOYS (EURO MIX), and probably some others.

Yes, I've misssed the Y&Co stuffs. I was thinking about the Super Eurobeat compilations.

DDR Solo 2000 / EXTRA MIX / Bass 2000 are the mixes with solo steps. (Can't remember another machine/mix with solo steps on it)

When you play a song, the game reads the Standard-difficulty stepchart.

At least most of the time. Some older mixes actually read the Maniac chart for some of the songs. I remember HERO (HAPPY GRANDALE MIX) on 5thMIX was seizure-riffic.

On the EXTREME arcade the lights were held on for Freeze arrows. Thats where the effect at the beginning of Dance Dance Revolution on that mix came from.

In The Groove machines read the Medium stepcharts for the bass lights, and the marquee lights go off individually according the arrows for the chart you're playing.

The first Eurobeat song was Boom Boom Dollar ^^;

Not just in DDR. It was one of the earliest Eurobeat songs to be produced in Japan.

My bad, you're right. Before the energic Eurobeat we know, we got those Italo Disco sort of, that was just great !

About "SOMEBODY'S CREAM!!!!" , according to some forums, it cames from "Kraze - The Party".
Who knows, I didn't have more information. Check at 3:49 :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxQQ04kN6M4
It could be this, the singer is the same as the SOMEBODY SCREAMS no ?

Was a similar thing happening with Love <3 Shine's Challenge chart? I like that chart, but it honestly doesn't go with the music too well.

If I recall correctly, the Singles Oni chart for Love Shine is pretty similar in rhythm to the Doubles Heavy chart .

No. Upper marquee lights flash to the Hard charts. Each arrow maps out to one of the four lights.

"DDR-ing regularly again!~"
When you play DDR X and you use the stage with the speakers, the speakers move on each arrow you hit.

I was always wondering about that. I really wanted to try to get a vocal part for any upcoming Bemani music, but I could never figure out how the composers hired the singers. I guess they just buy acapella samples.

NAOKI use a ton of samples from those libraries for their old songs' vocals : MasterBits - Climax Collection Series
(Wish I could buy it to produce some songs with vocals too !)

I doubt that, as it had a 3rdMIX interface.

The obscure American DDR for PC was 4th Mix-based as well, and it had 6-panel. I'm not sure if the European games based on 4th mix (Fever PS1, Party Edition?) had 6-panel mode, though.

The reason why DDRX lost so many BeForU songs was because they signed under a different label then Konami on their third album. DDRX2 revived many of the songs from their first album but left out many from their 2second one.

And I just learned Riyu joined at the age 15. xD

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Actually, when BeForU was signed under Avex, their songs were retained in BEMANI. It was only when the new group was formed and signed under Gambit that their songs began to disappear.

You are correct. It was technically Shangri-la, their forth album, that was under Gambit. BeForU III was still under Avex.

Does anyone know why they pulled the Konami originals produced by the artists that made up the group and songs from the group itself before that point? Was it a move to avoid legal issues?

"MAGGLE"
I chalk it up to the my belief that they just mindlessly agreed to whoever said that KOs featuring the the group are to be removed. Then when they learned that most of the songs are composed by Naoki, jun or DJ Taka, they took the rights back.

[/opinion]

I seriously don't know. But its good that they revived some of them on DDR X2.

Flourish's music video has these lines that seem to resemble those of Windows Vista. Indirect promotion?
