ZIv Simfile Tournament of Immortals

Unless Pandy's edited it recently, there's no word of "double elimination" in the first post.

The whole "what happens to people who are eliminated" thing didn't occur to anyone until after the 2nd round voting had finished, at which some point a bunch of people suddenly decided they wanted it to work different ways.

I think the current idea is "Submit a file every week, you'll get ranked at the end somehow".

Albida and I'm In Love Again were both really close. They both had trills in them that pushed them both outside of my comfort zone, and I held off voting for a day so I could play them both a couple of times. Now that I can FC them both, I think I'm In Love Again is a little more fun to play over and over again, but I'm not sure I can explain why ^^;

Princple is my favorite song in the round. I think Taro's had fantastic steps all the way through the tournament, but every file has had something (usually 16th streams with repeated trills) that puts the song outside of my happy, streamy Pump It Up mentallity. I think Principle feels like an old-skool ITG song, but was one I could easily get into, learn to FC very quickly, and appreciate fully. It's a great file.


I think either everything is really close, or people are reluctant to be the first to vote? Maybe people don't want to have to choose between voting for 2 different friends, until the choice is already clear-cut?

Everyone should just vote for the best file. Me and Oni definately don't care who votes to for who, and I'm sure Telep and ziv are the same. I'd rather think "Loads of people played my file and think it's almost as good as my opponent's" than "Nobody played any of the files we spent so much time working on" ^^;

HFS, is seriously no one going to vote?

Comments:
Hyper Gride and DM Star were really cool choices; I like some dance music in my dance games ;o
Sakura Reflection was really catchy, and I really liked the rhythms used though the step placement (Kimono Princess?) isn't my favorite.
The tricky stops in Wuv U were fun; I like having a bit of sightread in songs because it's flashier to show others.
Oh and Albida was pretty catchy - the first part sounded kinda like a Megaman song... (now there's a weird collab) o.o;

...So, winners have 16 days to make 3 files and the rest of us get Free Week Fortnight?
