There's already a video of that. I'll be right back with a link.
Edit: okay, Here it is, and it's starts at about 3 minutes into the vid.

Yep.
D.A.N.C.E should be a 7 imo.
Anyway, there are two new vids showing all the KO's. They're REALLY REALLY good!!!
Theres only two that stick out that I don't like too much (Unity and Halibebe) but everything else I either like or LOVE!
I'm so excited!

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana" |
I listened to a preview of all the KOs.
I can't help but be a little disappointed...Though the music itself is awesome, it seems like they got a lot of bland vocalists that made the HP1 KOs so boring. For example, Open Your Eyes had potential to be another Every Day, Every Night, but the vocalist just is not that good...=/. We Can Win the Fight could be awesome if it had a better vocalist, but it just feels so bland with that vocalist.
Not that there aren't good vocalists. The vocalists in Into Your Heart, Silver Dream, Super Hero, Loving You, and many others are good, it just bugs me that they got such bland vocalists for some of the songs..

Wow. I on the other hand think the KO's are awesome. And Open Your Eyes is well done, imo based on what I heard. There are only 2 KO's I don't like as much and that's Unity and Halibebe. Everything else I like or really like/love. I'm VERY VERY pleased and I am in no way disappointed at all. This blows HP1's KO's out of the water.

Here's hoping the KO list either equals or exceeds the quality of the licenses.
<scary important opinion>I doubt it. Most of last year's HP1 KO list bored me to painful tears and quite frankly, KOs aren't as good as they used to be. Whatever (if any) love affair I had with KOs has ended years ago.</scary important opinion>Quote: Unknown Gamer @ DDRFreak
Man... I have had such a full day of venomous hating on DDRX that I totally forgot that DDRHP2 is out today! Yay! :flash: CALL ON ME! :flash: The new KO's will probably be just as shitty over there though! I suppose they will have to be a necessary evil. *sigh~*

I didn't say the KOs were bad
. They're much better than the ones in Hottest Party...but it's a shame that DJ Yoshitaka and Osamu Migitera had to be paired with such subpar vocalists. Give them Kanako Hoshino and Alison Wade!

You failed to state your point in quoting all that... even if it was self-explanatory... to you.
TBH, I think the current complaints right now are unfounded. Konami deserves kudos for such a great KO list (I've never liked a KO list this much before).
If you can hear me, Thank you!! You guys deserve praise!! I can't wait to get this.

Yeah...the covers haven't really improved unfortunately...Although I liked Walking on Sunshine.
Into Your Heart is one of my faves, it's sort of old-style "Naoki Feat. X" with a more modern sound, as does Closer to my Heart. Silver Dream is a classic catchy Junko Karashima happy-hardcore song. Loving You is a pretty sweet speedy trance song. Super Hero is a cool speed-pop song, reminds me a little bit of an English High School Love. Desert Journey is classic Taka happy trace, always awesome. Racing with Time is a bit of a slowed down jun happy song, but it's still good.
And there's others, but it's not like I HATE the KOs. It's just that I'm disappointed with a few of the songs that I thought I was going to like.

I must admit, I am a tad disappointed with the covers, esp. the ones I thought I'd love (similar to how pie feels about the KO's).
For example, Makes Me Wonder sounds... butchered! I was really taken aback by it!
And as for Call on Me, I certainly hope it sounds better as a whole than what I heard from the sample. I'm a tad afraid the remix didnt do the cover justice.
That being said, there are many licenses I thought were VERY well done! I Ran is a good example.
I think HP2's KO's supercede those found in HP1 and as for the covers, I REALLY enjoyed 80% of HP1's covers. As for HP2's covers, its kinda the same if not 75% but there are some I really really like, and I like what they did on some of them better than the ones from HP1 (which I thought were well done and underappreciated).
Oh and it must be said: here's hoping for Wi-fi in HP3!
Nah, j/k... sorta. Right now, I'll just be really happy to have HP2 in my grasp.
I'm more than pleased with how it's turned out.
..., and yes, I'm typing from my Wii. ;)

I LOVE the remix for Don't You (forget about me)
I've noticed that HP2 sounds alot more DDR-ish, which is great!

Indeed it does sound more "DDR"-ish.
Theres a distinct "feel" that places it above HP1's appeal.
And the remix for Don't You sounds pretty good. I wanna hear the whole thing but I can already tell its better than the original.

After seeing that this game has D.A.N.C.E, I was disappointed from the lack of...
DVNO
FOUR CAPITAL LETTERS
PRINTED IN GOLD
In all seriousness though, I really do love this songlist.

D.A.N.C.E is awesome. I love that song.
The Expert routine, imo, from what I saw, should probably be rated a 7.
But anyway, I think it's undeniable that they put a lot of work into HP2's song list and what came out is a product worthy of praise.

How is the pad that comes with the game? Is it the same pad as the one from HP1?

"I'm honestly pissed off." |
Same pad as HP1.
Okay, here are my initial thoughts after playing a bit.
Let's all give Konami a big round of PINK stars for repeating many mistakes from HP1 and adding a few more.
Repeated mistakes: Bright backgrounds, forced vivid, freeze jumps don't show up colored to match.
New mistakes: Game does not realize that you have turned off gimmicks, and still shows the instruction screens for the gimmicks. Why? HP1 didn't have this mistake.
Everybody loves dance play mode, right? You know, that mode where the corners are the arrows too? Well, it's now moved on to the Wii with HP2. And it's permanent. I looked through the options, and saw no way of turning it off. Thanks, Konami.
Oh, and if you liked having the announcer bug you during the menus when you're doing other stuff, you'll be glad to know that he's still here, and still irritating.
WTF drunk made these charts? Pandy, did you find a new job? Seriously, they're just loaded with spins, especially Silver Dream expert (I'll upload my sightread video in a bit, I got a B). Do they have their step artists play the game at all?
On the plus side, it now has speed mods, turn mods, cut, jump (though not all 3 normal jump settings). Also, these are set and forget options, like in ITG. Set them once, it saves to the card, and it'll remember them forever. Not like the PS2 mixes, which will happily throw away your options and force you to reset them every time you play.
Another plus is that if you didn't have everything unlocked for HP1, this game will give it to you for free. Yay. Now if only the PS2 mixes would do that... (SN2 didn't prompt to unlock SN1, X didn't prompt to unlock SN2)
And, um, that's it on the plus side.
The speed mods thing is pretty big for me, but I really hate the forced viivid and forced bright backgrounds. Those KOs you people have been talking about better be good.
Oh, and before Silenttype asks, no, there is no edit mode, though it looks like we get training mode this time.
