Well, it'll be the first 360 version to run in smooth 60 frames. Something that the Xbox DDR games have yet to achieve. . .

Konami why must you repeated make the same mistake over and over
Seriously, they're the first company to perfect making a mistake.
All I'm thinking now is "WHY KONAMI WHY!!!!!"
If only Konami could actually acknowledge we want a CS port of X2 AC. What is really puzzling me is what showed them we want more of this garbage? I don't want to be harsh, but this really bugs me

What's kind of funny is that everyone asked about X2 says something along the lines of "if there is interest, we will consider it" but there is clearly interest since it seems to be asked in every single interview with DDR staff. I know NAOKI has been asked on at least a couple occasions.

I remember when EXTREME US was released to such outrage. That game's looking mighty fine compared to these days. I miss the semi-AC ports we got from KOJ, with some AC licenses, some US licenses, and a generally sweet assortment of KOs, new and old, and all of it was dance music. EXTREME2, as always, I will cite as the pinnacle of CS DDR and what a good CS game should be. Of course, I'd expect a modern EXTREME2 to use the 18 point scale and have options from X2.

Remember when the US licenses were actually good? I remember when MAX2 CS first game out, people were pissed that there were so few licenses from the ac game, but stuff like Take Me Away, Heaven, Days Go By, and A Little Bit of Ecstasy were really great tracks to choose (Unfortunately, even back then they were a bit too scared about making US charts very difficult).
This year we have...what, exactly? Bad Romance is about the only dance track on this game. We get a few medium temp pop tracks, a handful of really odd pop tracks for a DDR game (Love Like This and Hey, Soul Sister) and a heck of a lot of old tracks. Depending on your definition of "oldies". they make up about 20-30% of the license tracks. Yikes!

I can't believe they'll actually release this disaster on XBOX360 as well after seeing how bad people reacted to it, and how people wanted a XBOX game... It's as if they're laughing at us openly... Why can't we get anything close to X2 AC, which is the best game ever?!

With all the pitchforks and complaining and bitching going on since the beginning of DDR CS in these US. Konami virtually ignoring all of these complaints, the games still sell and they release a new one next year that starts the whole cycle all over. Which I wonder, how much dead presidents does Konami make a killing of these "bad" games?

Yup. This pretty much means we won't be seeing DLC on PS3 until this game comes out. What the hell!

I think you're jumping to conclusions. It's possible they could release DLC on the PS3 and then release all DLC up to that point on the 360 as soon as it comes out.

I think DDRMAX USA and DDR Universe are my favorite CS games from any region, and most of that is down to absolutely phenomenal licenses.

I hope so because I seriously do not feel like waiting any longer for DLC.

LOL. That is all I have to say. I wonder how Sony will take it because this will be exactly like the PS3 version (except the Move and Step mode features), which means Konami pretty violated the "Only for PlayStation" tag on the PS3's packaging. That is not good business, and I am sure Sony will get pissed. What's next? A new version of DanceMasters for PS3 using PS Move?

I've basically plotted out how the DDR cycle goes:
Hype-->Arcade Release-->CS Hype-->Disappointment (CS released)-->Acceptance-->Dissatisfaction-->New arcade mix announced
That's how it has been (at least for me) since I began playing DDR back with SuperNOVA 2

It tells you that the person who wrote it will just shrug it off and make another pointless post about how DDR can change your life/trivia questions.Post #4359 · Posted at 2010-12-09 12:15:31pm 14.6 years ago

Konami is so shady with their CS releases now. There is virtually no info about them until a few weeks before they come out. We were in suspense for over a year as to the fate of this home version.

Guys, don't forget about the main audience of DDR nowadays- the casual audience. Those who play DDR to play songs like Disturbia and whatnot. I know, many people play DDR just for awesome dance music, but that's probably the current main audience for DDR now that it's become more mainstream. Ever since DDR has seemingly become much more popular, Konami has been coming out with many mainstream licenses to satisfy those who want to dance to the music they hear on the radio. And it probably drives them a lot of profit, too. If they just had some dancemania licenses that the mainstream audience hasn't actually heard of, chances are, they're not going to actually enjoy the game and probably won't get the next one.
Though, I may be entirely wrong, considering how the Dancemania revivals in X2 arcade are generally the most popular songs.
