So, Tohoku EVOLVED is the succesor of MAX. (period) nowadays.

Easy to find out. When all the New X3 EVOLVEDs appearing on ES/EES, just simply enable the Rival option (press keypad "00" followed by "3")
If the scores are all 0,000,000 it will only means there are different versions.
Global record will be shown when the song is about to start (Extra Stage/Encore Extra Stage screen with the global record below) without knowing which version you've gotten thou.
As for Tohoku Evolved, since it's only the last arrow "random" jump, & didn't affect the overall total step/freeze count, i've no idea what Konami will do about it.
They could seperate into each versions, but that will be no meaning & no fun. So i guess Konami could stick to 1 version with "random" jump at the ending, sharing the same global record. Haha.
But well, i can't check it out yet, until London/Tohoku EVOLVED will be playable in asia this coming Friday.
I can't imagine how you gonna guess the ending jump for EDP. LOL 8 panels wtf lolol.

@ddr_ray: Exactly.
Also of note is that Tohoku Evolved currently has required the most videos/photos to display its chart through the course of its discovery as an EES.
All the EES songs in SN1 and SN2 only required one video - the video showing the farthest anyone had gotten at the time. CHAOS and Pluto Relinquish are the most notable in this sense. For PR Single, I remember there was a 522 combo and 523 combo video, followed by a 528 combo picture, before it was finally passed on EES. It has 546 max combo. (I have no idea about PR double.)
DDR X didn't require any videos because its unlocks were already revealed through the NA PS2 version. Horatio
(fixed version) was the only exception, and it was revealed shortly through the JP PS2 version anyway.
In DDR X2,
roppongi Evolved ver. A, B, and C were already revealed through the NA PS2 version and HP3. roppongi Evolved ver. D Single was revealed through one video of a nonstop course, so trying to beat it on EES wasn't needed to see its full chart. (I have no idea about Double.)
Valkyrie dimension Single at one point required two videos to display as much of its chart as was known: the 385 combo video that failed on the freeze-stop section, and the CUT2 video that got through about half of the ending stream. The 385 combo video was replaced by a 580 combo and then a 610 combo video (neither of which got halfway through the ending stream) before both were replaced by a 618 combo video. This was followed by a 623 combo video and a 629 combo video. There was one picture and one video of only the results screen showing an EES pass, and to this day, there is no video demonstrating the entire EES pass, nor will there ever be. (I have no idea about Vdim Double.)
In DDR X3,
Unbelievable and Silver Dream Single were already revealed before DDR X3 came out. Silver Dream Double briefly required two videos to display its chart - one that failed at the stop, and one that got through it with freezes off. Both were quickly replaced by a video that got through the whole chart with freezes on.
Nephilim Delta Double was fully revealed in one video. Nephilim Delta Single also only needed one video - a video that got through about 90% of it, followed by a video that got through the whole chart.
Tohoku Evolved Single uniquely has required three videos and one photo (a total of four) to display its known chart so far. The 455 combo video (replaced by a 646 combo video), the video with CUT1 and freezes and jumps off (the only video to display the ending "Pray for All" message), and the video with CUT1 but freezes and jumps on (the only video to display the ending two jumps). A fourth picture was needed to show the different versions.
Tohoku Evolved Double so far has only one video that fails at 109 combo.

Imagine if the players cleared Tohoku with cut & jump off, & they see "Stop Cheating" message instead of "Pray for All" Lol Tohoku Evolved Double so far has only one video that fails at 109 combo.

Oh ya, i don't know why, but after i see a few Tohoku videos, i feel that the song is a combination of London EVOLVED + Saturn (repeating background) + Max. (period) ("Thank you for playing" music section can be heard after the first freeze jump pause)

Repeating background is kinda U1's style. MAX. (period) and Pluto Relinquish does this to some degree. And chaotic bass kicks pretty much signifies him (like the ones in Flow and MAX. (period)).
The freeze jump pause actually says, "Our prayers and thoughts are with you..." and the last one says, "Listen and believe," AFAIK.
And after the first freeze jump pause, the song starts to sound more like Pluto Relinquish.

That's not the full chart, it's a combination of what we know now, and is missing the fifth to last step (the only one we don't currently know).
And to anyone making a simfile from the full doubles chart, remember that Mirror reverses the pads too. The first jump on Mirror (2L 2U) is really 1D 1R.

Hoping for new EES songs tonight. Konami likes to do DDR unlocks on Wednesdays, and there are only 3 more weeks left until the OST, so start watching Twitter at midnight UTC / 8:00 PM EST / 7:00 AM JST.

Tohoku Evolved was first revealed last week at about 6:30 pm EDT or 7:30 am JST. Now it's exactly one week and 45 minutes or so later.

...Isn't 6:30 PM EST = 5:30 PM JST? 8:00 PM EST = 7:00 AM JST, when game centers usually open.
EDIT: Never mind?
Apparently it's 8:17 AM JST now. There always seems to be a news burst at 8:00 PM EST. Maybe more game centers open at 9:00 AM JST?

Remember that DST's going on right now in the parts of the world that use it, so the time zone should be EDT instead of EST. (small nitpick)
And I do believe that most game centers open at 8:00 or 9:00 versus 7:00. It's 8:38am JST right now; if we don't see an unlock soon, we might not get one until next week.

That EDP chart looks amazingly fun, quite possibly my favorite double "Boss" song.

So we have to react for the last step... not memorize.
It's EXTREME CS Mission 49 all over again!

I don't think Tohoku is the last song. Remember VD had that intro thing to it before you played it on EES? We did not seen that on Tohoku. It just makes me wonder if there's something else this game has under the sleeves.

Then again, we also didn't get a Replicant-D-Action extra stage rotation. The closest X3's gotten to that is the sudden explosion that the EVOLVED series got--which all leads up to Tohoku. Besides, the doors read "Pray for All", and that's probably the equivalent of the appearance of "Dark Rinon" for Valkyrie Dimension. Post #4339 · Posted at 2012-06-06 08:23:38am 13 years ago
Then what are the last three songs? There's no way they're Tohoku Evolved ver. B, C, and D or something, because all Tohoku "versions" sound the same.
Anyway, we'll find out in about three weeks.
And we're still waiting on a full video of Tohoku Evolved Single - there's got to be one out there, because there's no way someone could take a photo of that last step so precisely two times. It's almost certainly a screencap from a video of Tohoku Evolved Single with no options on (since the score was over 990k).

If unlocks were coming, they most likely wouldn't be coming until 3:00 PM JST today. Tohoku was only discovered early in the day because it was technically never completely locked, it just wasn't accessible until London Evolved was finally made available that morning.
