DanceDanceRevolution (PS3 & Xbox 360) (International)

There's a "MUSIC SHOP" mode in the game which is pretty much a promise itself. Why put a mode in there when it's not gonna be used?

That and it checks DLC every time when you turn the game on. Also, it mentions music downloads are not rated by the MSRP. Also, they promised 150 DLC songs in the preview video of the old build of this game. Also, trophies mention "excluding downloadable content" on some of their descriptions. Also, also....

Naoki said somewhere in one of the crazy comment trees on his facebook that they are working on dlc and will have a major announcement soon :/ but soon could mean next year lol

Def Jam Rapstar (KONAMI) is getting lots of DLC.

Is it safe to say that this sad excuse of a game is now dead? The last thing I did here is go for the star collector trophy (Gold), easiest Gold Medal since Katamari Tribute's 6 Golds.

Last time I saw the message saying "Checking for DLC" I was playing Soul Caliber IV. Hmmm... it makes me think.

On the DLC, I guess we have to "request" songs from DDR X2 arcade on Naoki's Facebook page or the DDR page if we hope to see them, Also I'd hope they don't abandon the changing of themes ideas they had from the old build.

I think I get where he's getting at. SoulCalibur IV's DLC were the extra soundtracks from the older games, and Darth Vader (360) or Yoda (PS3), all of which are on the actual disc. The 'DLC' on the marketplace was actually a key to unlock the data from the disc.

the 360 port of GH2, as well as all other GH and RB games display a similar message with REAL DLC.

so its a very invalid point to say soulcalibur IV did on disc DLC and had that message therefor this game does too. i think most games have that message, actually. now that i think about it, every game i have ever played that supported DLC showed that message.

Basically, this will be a port of the PS3 game. I propose merging this into a PS3&XBOX 360 topic.

Well, there go all hopes of the XBox360 version being reserved for the real DDR game.

20 tracks from some of the hottest musicians, eh, too bad almost none of them are like, dance music you'd hear in, you know, a real club or anything.

I wonder if it'll be until Q1 2011 for DLC on PS3 to appear either. Sigh.

I am a bit disappointed, but only because I was hoping something different, along the lines of Universe 4.

Oh FML, this is BAD.

So, the game just doesn't have any motion support? The rest is all the same? Seems a bit pointless.

Why can't they just give us the X2 Beta they had shown at E3 a few years back?

EDIT:: I just looked at the assets they posted for the game and I can't tell if they just reused screenshots from the PS3 version. Also - They left a mock up in there with Taj He Spitz as the background with In The Zone as the song being played. Whoops

In the Zone has the same artwork in the background video as Taj He Spitz. Its just a still of the characters, not animated, that flashes by.



I think we should get a petition together to just stop buying these games, heh.

Sigh, the Wii versions are cute off-shoots, but they absolutely don't fill the void of an actual AC port with Edit Mode and Double and Challenge and all that stuff. Basing all CS versions off the Wii versions except with crappier interfaces and none of the charm is just ridiculous.

I remember when EXTREME US was released to such outrage. That game's looking mighty fine compared to these days. I miss the semi-AC ports we got from KOJ, with some AC licenses, some US licenses, and a generally sweet assortment of KOs, new and old, and all of it was dance music. EXTREME2, as always, I will cite as the pinnacle of CS DDR and what a good CS game should be. Of course, I'd expect a modern EXTREME2 to use the 18 point scale and have options from X2.
